Well, as I said in another thread, I have "Hit the Wall". My self-imposed restrictions of buying silver up to $21 and Gold up to $1250 have kicked in, and a pullback to those levels seems a bit unlikely with the dollar tanking. So, I am now doing the "penny and nickel thang". The Ryedale has been working overtime (sorting 12 boxes a week), and a box of nickels gets bought every week as well for the "stash". I search a box or two of halves if my banks will order them for me, but that is drying up too as they HATE handling them (even WITH chocolate "bribes"). Quarters and dimes are a PITA to search IMHO. I guess what I am curious to know is, who else is part of this "club"? I hope I am not the only one...

12 boxes a week huh, how can you get them to order all that but they don't like the halves? Guess I was fortunate to set up alot of relationships in that area the last few years. Now when I lose a bank its because of new bank policy not because the ladies don't wanna do it. Still have 20+ empty half boxes come trash day, and 12-20 dime boxes (can't win if you don't play)- two weekends ago I hit on some good ones and got about 60, best box had 16 Mercs and 16 Roos. Slowed up on quarters cause they been treatin ME bad but still one or two boxes a week.
As for cents and nicks, I pull the coppers from pocket change is all and when I dump coin I always get 4 pennies back, got over $200fv and I've only searched maybe 20 boxes total (lifetime) but I dump all the change jars for my family and friends. I regret them cents for bugout purposes and keep threatening to sell them. Also watching the ratio (54.9), looking to trade a bunch of junk into little gold pieces, mainly looking ahead to trade into something that sells good locally (12Xfv when melt is 17X isn't what I'm looking for, and if I really needed to sell APMEX takes 10 days).
Saw few weeks ago APMEX had a bunch of Gold Prospectors and even one 1/4oz, I couldn't spend the hunting $$$ to get it and a few days ago it finally disappeared from my shopping cart.

Done here as well = all limits have been reached.

Happy with my pile of pennies and nickles as well - so not adding any right now (also no time right now).

Just saving cash or a few preps with what is left over every month. I for sure can feel that everything is more expensive every month and we have less savings every month....I can feel the standard of living sliding at our house. Feels like inflation on every item we have to buy.

i got in silver and gold back in june at the $18 and $1200 range, thankfully i got "all in" with them. now im just looking to get into copper and nickel to reduce some of my emergency FRN's even more.

I do the penny thing. I'm surprised I still average a couple wheats per roll!
