Now 1377.40 1130am on 12 Nov.
I look at the Kitco iPhone app and the chart and get the idea I should shop for gold at like 3am!
Except right now it appears to be still dropping?
I guess I should learn about the trends tracking!

Brother, Im not trying to say anything about a bubble. I was wondering about the probability of the price continuing to drop. Right now at 1230hrs EST Kitco says Gold is 1363.30 Thats like $14 less than at my OP. Im a very small investor and only have so much money to spend and want the best bang I can get of course.
Should I be locking in now and thanking Bernanke for this price break?

He's not talking about a bubble. You are reading the wrong part of the graph. Read the graph not the words on it. We are well within the margin for error. I just wait for the weekend close and then buy. Sometimes it high so I buy. Sometimes it's low so I buy more. Micromanagement in PM's only gives you cardio issues.

OK! Im shopping but will wait for the close I suppose as that does seem to make sense. And thanks about the Micro Managing. I have been waking up at night just to look at the kitco prices! I dont own an AE yet and I dont have a 50 Peso yet and want both. But then I dont have a lot of much yet.

The gold bull has three stages. We're at the end of stage two. Stage three is when the fun begins.
Strap in and get ready for $500 swings.............Yee haw..............
I live in a western town with the oldest continuous rodeo in the old west. I love watching those cowboys get bucked off the bull!
Gold is the bull. Takes balls to ride em.......
FYI..... You'll know the bull is getting tired when the numi's start to take off...............

Both Jim Sinclair and Bob Chapman have PROMISED these types of price swings in gold, for the past several years. They both agree that $100-$200 price swings in ONE DAY will be the norm, as gold continues it's climb to big numbers. Get used to it.

It is still a better price buying opportunity tho to buy at 1360 than 1400. Thats all I was musing. Based on the other market drops I am seeing I dont think Gold will jump back up to 1400 today so close is fine for me in case it does drop a bit more.
and a $500 drop will just get me to buy more!

Gold is a roller coaster. Better than riding the dollar like a lead anchor into the abyss. A 500 dollar drop will mean 550 dollar premiums attatched.

:pI need buy back the 500oz silver I sold last week. I am excited, as at this price it is really a good deal now. I have to wait for 3 more days.

ok. One of these days one of y'all is going to have to either teach me about the ratio thing and trades or give me the names of sources to read to understand the nuances of Au. Maybe silver too since I will have a lot more of it. Newbie that I am I just figured that gold would go up when the dollar went down. That and that the dollar is destined to die in the mud as most world currencies are trying to do now. Anyone want a savings account in Greece?

Soon we will see $100 to $200 dollar swings each day...
always ratcheting up however...
That will be the start of PHASE II the middle growth section of the BULL MARKET until we hit MAJOR #3 at $3,500.00
Major one finished $256 to $1015 (4 times the low)
Major TWO down $1,015 to $699 (31% decline FIB. %!) finished
Major THREE now in progress up from $700 to $3,500 (Fib 5 TIMES number)
Major FOUR down from $3500 to $2500 (29% decline fib. %)
Major five (my baby I own this ONE!) up from $2500 to $10,000.00 (a 4 fold increase same as NUMBER MAJOR ONE!)
SUPER MAJOR is later - depends on the Obummer printing..
GET aboard the GOLD train is PULLING up soon!
CRIMEX raising margins and all!
DYODD FIB = Fibonacci look him up in your FUNK & WAGNALLS or GOOGLE!

Keep in mind in ROME in 268 AD when the MONEY was inherently only 1% gold and silver (having been reduced some 99% by the LEADERS [get a clue herein USA dollar is only worth a PENNY today compared to 1913!] things got crazy!).
The commodity market swung some 100 to 200 points per day because the stinkin' Roman MONEY was trashed.
Guess what?

If thats true Mr History Student, Gold is gonna be a master blaster coming up. What do you believe silver will be doing during all this? I look at the charts and silver seems to mimic Gold a bit.

Trying to pick the right price to "jump in" is pretty pointless in a major bull market. Every day I try to remember how stupid I was passing that bag of 90% junk years ago because I wanted to pay melt and the seller wanted a small premium....if I recall we were at about 5x face. If I had a time machine I would go back to that day and kick my own ass.
Buy the gold. Screw the day to day fluctuations. They will be a rounding error when this thing gets rolling.
I also try to think in terms of ounces not FRN$. As long as your ounces keeps going up you are gaining wealth. The same can't be said for FRN$ because they are going away. Unfortunately they don't put an expiration date on FRN$.....they should. It would make our PM buying decisions easier.

Good advice there, I would add that one should dollar cost average purchases.
As a side note, I have attached a picture of Bud at work - Payson Arizona is a great place to retire, besides having the rodeo, it is also known as the "fun capital of Arizona"

In BALLPARK figures take any GOLD price and divide by about "30"
(Just substitute SILVER for GOLD and divide by 30)
However, SILVER is the RESTLESS metal and MUCH more explosive.
And the BIGGIE is the PRINTINGS of the US Dollar, EC Euro, and the rest of the world trying to beat OUT America's PERCENTAGE of printing.
Remember in the last few years OMERICA "done!" tripled the money supply - and someday soon....
