Have finally gotten around to getting started on making some CS. My question is, could you add some fragrance to the solution that would be used as a deodorant without affecting the effectiveness of the solution?

If so, has anyone done this? What was the results?

Thanks, O.F.

Perhaps I've missed something but I'm wondering why you want to mix the two. CS works fine as a deodorant on its own and you can splash on as much scent as you wish separately.

Thanks argentos, you are absolutely correct. But I was planning on getting the rest of the family on board. I felt that perhaps introducing this product to the daughter and grand daughter would go over a little better if the deodorant had a light fragrance to it. As you know, sometimes old habits are hard to break. Just trying to avoid that "Oh no, Pops has a another :wub:new crazy idea."

Ah, the wimmen. I'd forgotten that little snag.

By way of amends may I suggest a three-pronged sales pitch:
1) The possible coincidence that has been reported between the rise in breast cancer rates and the daily use of chemical deodorants/antiperspirants.
2) Many antiperspirants contain aluminium which is thought to accumulate in the brain and increase the risk of Alzheimer's Disease.
3) Ask one of them to try CS on one armpit and their usual product on the other. The usual product one will likely smell a lot worse 24 hours after application, but you might test it on yourself first to avoid egg on the face!
