Oh that's rich! Lessons in morality from the forums pre-eminant hypocrite. Pure entertainment from the silliest 'sarsparilla' on this forum.
This thread will make some great reading material for newbies...and clue them in to how you high strung 'Plunkers' provide us with such comedic relief.
Again, another attack that is off point. Who is the one sidestepping what? So again I ask you why should a stopper be rushing to deliver and what real world facts are you using to support your notion of the/some long contract holders intentions.
Please do try and stay with your point, then maybe we can move away from your childish tendency to insult.

Well....when you get around to answering my questions....then maybe I'll consider yours.
The Comex is a metals exchange in name only (your admission) and a place for gamblers to trade paper. The notion that it's a common occurrence for a significant amount of long contract holders to be waiting for notices with a little over a week remaining seems odd to me....judging by the past dealings at the Comex where the contracts are usually settled by mid month. Your claims that warehouse receipts will not have to get re-tendered and settled in something other than physical seems also suspect to me. I would not imagine these traders would pony up the cash and stand for delivery....only to roll into the following month and garner nothing for their time and efforts.
So....until you bring us all the many instances where the Shorts OI typically stretch out the month with a large number of unsettled contracts...and use the bulk of the 30 days afforded to them by the rules....i must then assume that it is you that exemplifies the moniker of Troll...and the one avoiding the issue and questions. :bear_tongue:

How to Understand a Liberal: A Dictionary, Part 1
by Jason Rantz (more by this author)
Posted 07/11/2010 ET
Understanding a liberal can be difficult.
It’s a dizzying and frustrating task to decipher what they really mean when they shout out their rhetoric, their snazzy phrases, and meaningless, faux-academic diction.
What do feminists mean when they talk about “social constructs” in relation to gender? What do some activists mean when they call you a “heterosexist” or when they label society “hetero-normative”? What do lefties mean when they talk about “investing in our nation’s future”?
You no longer need a useless degree in liberal arts education to understand what the far left means when they say the crazy things that tumble out of their traps. Here is a simple to use liberal-to-English dictionary. Learn what liberals really mean when they use a phrase or keyword.
When liberals say ‘Diversity:’ “I support diversity! I love diversity!”
What they mean: “I’m white and I hate myself. I need to surround myself with a diverse group of people but not because I seek to learn different cultures or understand different perspectives. I need these people because it assuages my white guilt. I feel non-whites are particularly stupid so I pretend to give them advantages and pretend to ‘understand’ where they’re coming from, so that they can support liberal politicians, who, in turn, will pretend to help them but actually hold them back. As a liberal, I don’t think non-whites are equal to me—I just pretend to think that.”
When liberals say ‘Invest:’ “I want to invest resources in the lower and middle class so that they can fully accomplish the American Dream.”
What they mean: “I want to systematically perform a redistribution of wealth so that the rich—who I envy for their ability to work hard and enjoy the treasures of their labor—end up paying for everyone else, particularly those who I view as second-class citizens: the poor. I have no faith in the American people and think the only way someone can move up in this world is through my charity.”
When liberals say ‘Global Citizen:’ “It’s time to realize that as global citizens, we need to better understand where other countries are coming from.”
What they mean: “I hate America so much that I feel embarrassed to say I’m an American citizen. I don’t value what this country has to offer and even though I wouldn’t dare move to another country, I’ll criticize it nevertheless. We all need to be one global community because America has too much power. I hate that. I need a hug—a big, global hug.”
When liberals say ‘Feminist:’ “I’m a feminist and I believe that women are equal to men!”
What they mean: “I love it when women are liberal and I want them to have everything that men have—and then some. But not if a woman is conservative or holds different views from me. There is no room in feminism for women who don’t think the way the National Organization of Women thinks. Sarah Palin? She’s a lowly housewife and hockey mom who got lucky and was elected to head a second-rate state. Michelle Bachmann? She’s a nut job with crazy eyes! Ann Coulter? Well, I better stay away from insulting her because she can debate me into oblivion.”
When liberals say ‘Support Israel:’ “I’m a big supporter of Israel and I will stand behind our ally forever.”
What they mean: “Jews overwhelmingly vote for Democrats and so I should probably claim to support their homeland. However, truth be told, while I like Jewish people, I find the Israelis to be oppressors. What gives them the right to fight back against Hamas, a peaceful organization just trying to survive?”
When the liberals say ‘Support African American rights:’ “Whether through affirmative action or more community programs, we must support the rights of African Americans.”
What they mean: “I feel bad for black people because of what my ancestors did to their ancestors. I need to make up for it because blacks haven’t been able to overcome the obstacles slavery caused. I’d like to think they can make it in this country without a helping hand, but I’m actually racist and don’t think they’re smart enough. I truly love black people, but I don’t want one dating my daughter.”
When liberals say ‘Heteronormative’ or ‘Heterosexist:’ “We really need to change our heterosexist society that values heterosexuals more than our gay and lesbian friends.”
What they mean: “My college Women Center passed out literature saying it’s okay for a someone to dress as a woman and use a woman’s bathroom having a male sex organ and surgically implanted breasts, and go by the name Ezmerelda. So now I’m going to support that.”
When liberals say ‘I support our President.’
What they mean: “I support our President no matter what he says or does because he’s black.”
When liberals say ‘Environmentalism:’ “I live an eco-friendly lifestyle because I believe in the tenets of environmentalism. We don’t have to savage the Earth to live a comfortable lifestyle.”
What they mean: “Despite shoddy science, I am clinging to a belief in global warming. If I admitted that the science isn’t there yet and that there have been significant errors in developing climate theory, I’d look like a real idiot. So at this point, I will insist that we completely change our nation—impacting everything from the economy to how we get to work every day—to save face. Ideally, we’ll have a huge heat blast that will kill millions of people. That will make me happy because then I can say, ‘I told ya so!’ Oh, and I’m sorry but I’m sticking with two-ply toilet tissue, environment be damned.”
When liberals say ‘Immigration Reform:’ “I support a comprehensive and fair immigration-reform policy.”
What they mean: “I don’t care that illegal immigrants break the law because if they become citizens, they’ll vote to keep liberals like me in power. I don’t care that some businesses abuse their illegal-immigrant workforce with harsh conditions and low wages. I’ll pretend that I support comprehensive reform when all I want is amnesty and more votes for liberals.”

I guess they are not used to the tribe questioning their 'authority'..... {sigh} Where has the love gone, I tell you its not like the old tribe.
Your tribe is weak and pathetic and lacking in adult intellect....made up of creepy little high strung 'Plunkers'. You need to find a better 'Vice' and stop rolling around in your motel room naked..and on a bed full of fiats like "Demi".
Well....when you get around to answering my questions....then maybe I'll consider yours.
That has been done... stop ducking
The Comex is a metals exchange in name only (your admission) and a place for gamblers to trade paper.
No, it is a futures market that deals in precious metal price risk. It was never intended to be a metal exchange as such and is not setup to supply metal users. Please get that into your head.
You have not up until now mentioned that you believe the volume of contracts standing for delivery is abnormally large. Only that it is odd they have not been settled with 10 days to go. I see nothing odd in that, if it where backed with signs of stress in the market (as I have mentioned) then yes I might consider that someone is caught out. With no sign of undue stress (again looks bullish but not broken) it is hard to credit that the stoppers are somehow trapped. If it where the case the first action would be to cover on market and hence we'd see the stress.
As to the abnormal volume standing for delivery, do you have any historical comparison to show just how over the top you think it is?
Warehouse receipts re-tendered? I made no such reference or claim? They are receipts for metal, they are only issued against metal and have nothing directly to to with futures. Are you suggesting that Comex depositary's are issuing fraudulent warehouse receipts? LOL... That is a new twist and a very serious charge. Anything to support that one?
I would not imagine these traders would pony up the cash and stand for delivery....only to roll into the following month and garner nothing for their time and efforts.
Traders don't tend to want metal, it is a pain to handle. Anyone taking metal has a reason but that is not relevant. The point is where is the stress evident if the delivery cannot be made? We see no signs of it... you blah blah that but it is relevant, there should be signs in the market if it is indeed so. Until I see that happen it is illogical to credit a notion that seemingly has no support in fact.
Why do I need to prove that people who so far are complying with the rules are honorable? Show me the stress in the market, show me a reason to suspect that they will default on their obligations. Where is the smoke? All you have is conjecture at this point.
Why not wait and see if signs of stress develop? Until then it is just a notion!
Your tribe is weak and pathetic and lacking in adult intellect....made up of creepy little high strung 'Plunkers'. You need to find a better 'Vice' and stop rolling around in your motel room naked..and on a bed full of fiats like "Demi".
LOL.... yep sure, whatever you say Mr Shaman!

Hey Shaman,
I have just been sifting through the delivery notices on silver, so far we are well short of last Decembers volume of contracts standing for delivery so I can't see that we have excessive volume. The other thing is that as these contracts have delivery notices issued they are stopped. On the public information I have every contract is currently stopped, all 980 of them. Interestingly the big stopper is Barclays and JPM has stopped very few, in fact they have issued far more.
What I want to know is where the information is coming from that these stoppers either have or have not completed the deal? Tell me where you gain access to that, because now that I have looked and refreshed my memory (I don't look at this stuff that often, normally only when someone yells Comex default!) I recall that the issuers and stoppers are matched on a daily basis in the delivery notices. So where can I get this extra detail that you are talking about? Where is it public record that each delivery has either been made, delayed or god forbid, defaulted on? Tell me how do you know what you claim to know?

Hahaha...I love it! More entertainment from the most clueless self professed expert of the Comex.
I can't begin to quantify how much of a treat it is to return home and find you still spewing your clueless drivel. Watching you willfully descend deeper into the chasm of fiction is just too much fun. You really had nothing better to do than come back to the same rotting carcass like a predictable 'Magpie'? Once again....you can get metal delivered via the Comex...or at least that's what the Comex claims. Yes, we are all aware it's a house for the price discovery hedgers and betters. You should be getting your statistics here:

I'm sorry your memory is so poor...I guess you weren't paying attention when the traders in December brought the whole flaw to the forefront....hence the buildup to March where they were setting to employ the trading strategem. You really are that slow aren't you?...and have trouble following along. Since you're stuck on stupid...i should remind you once again to re-read this thread in it's entirety...and feel free to read other threads from the past (see for yourself) and find out what camp I belong in...(hint: not the Comex default). Why? Because I've stated they are enabled by the TBTF system...a point I've been making over and over here since my arrival. That's probably where your lack of reading comprehension fails you the worst.
As far as your big sister is concerned...I think she stepped in it when she went on the defensive for you....so there was no provocation as you say.
What can I say....you're even more pathetic than I originally thought. Judging by your posts....It seems you've cooked up this idea that you are the leader of some pathetic "Tribe" of 'Brown-nosers' and 'Sycophants' that you're drawing into the chasm that you're descending. Whew!....so a general lacking of self esteem and integrity should be added to the list of disgusting personal qualities that define your persona? Wow....now I know I had it right....your worship and love affair with the Bullion Bank shylocks has twisted even your purpose for existing here in this forum.
Man....I think I'd rather earn a trip to the Gulag...than be stuck with the legacy you're creating for yourself.
If you weren't such an entertaining 'court jester' and 'silly sarsparilla'....I would almost feel guilty about feeding you like the Troll that you are. What to do? What to do?:vollkommenauf:

Yes well thanks for the link but I've kinda been there and done that! The data I am looking at is Comex delivery notices and Comex warehouse inventory. The fact is there is nothing in it to support your supposition at all! You can't possibly know what you claim to know, which isn't surprising really as you didn't even seem to appreciate what a warehouse receipt is.

Is this what you call reasoned adult debate?
Man, I gotta say to anyone reading it looks like you have no real clue about this at all. You can't seem to defend your idea in any way shape or form.
You remind me of the bopper.... LOL!
And the OP thinks we are the trolls.... jeezzzzz Louise!
I'm just having a bit of fun....at your expense of course.
I'm curious....why you play the lurker. Starved for attention....yet too cowardly to come out in the open.
Sorry I can't be around tomorrow to educate you on how the Comex works....fresh snow in the mountains you know.
I tried the adult debate....you balked and took the path of a Troll. (see above thread)

Actually you are making a fool of yourself and displaying that you know very little. You have had ample opportunity to come up with something coherent yet you mumble nonsense and spit vitriol.
The fact remains that you cannot know anything beyond the Comex delivery report in terms of who has stood for delivery and who has stopped contracts. None of the data in the report supports your claim that deliveries are being delayed and the registered inventory is ample to cover the total remaining OI. Even the claim that an extraordinary number of contracts is being stood for delivery is not really supported, last December eclipsed March to date easily.... but lets see how it finishes. It is hard to see where the extreme stress you envisage is going to come from, so far there is certainly no smoke coming from the machine.
There are some really interesting features of that current report that seem to run against the common wisdom around here, it would be good if the discussion could ever get that far but alas you seem to be to busy trying for a character smear. It is sad really... you started out the day being a bit of a prick and finished up in the same fashion, consistent if nothing else.

The fact remains that you cannot know anything beyond the Comex delivery report in terms of who has stood for delivery and who has stopped contracts. None of the data in the report supports your claim that deliveries are being delayed and the registered inventory is ample to cover the total remaining OI in the very unlikely event that every contract stands for delivery. Even the claim that an extraordinary number of contracts is being stood for delivery is not really supported, last December eclipsed March to date easily.... but lets see how it finishes.

My claims are the same as yours....just the other side of the equation. The 1st notice day had 4k contracts standing for delivery. There have been 900+ serviced thus far and about 900 remaining in limbo. Those are the facts.
It's also interesting that you cannot prove that contracts are not being settled via cash....so your arguments are based in conjecture just like mine....though from a different perspective. I'm sure you'd like to convince others that your personal guarantees are sufficient...perhaps that works for your 'sycophants' in your Tribe....but as for myself, no...I do not give creedence to the apologizers supporting the keepers of the status quo. Good luck with your worship and love affair with JPM.
You are the fool here....citing December...a known month to have exposed the problems within the Comex system.
P.S....don't worry....they are "Too Big To Fail"

Although contracts can be legally settled in cash I'm quite sure the news of a technical default would make the media. After all you expect a disgruntled party with a score to settle to talk. What I am sure of is there is no premium being offered as that would simply be a self defeating feedback loop that would increase the problem, not make it go away.

Again you resort to insult and leave logic by the road side. I have no love of JPM, I simply understand how they operate and trade accordingly. Many here don't seem to want to understand how they operate and actually prefer to believe that the near impossible is reality. I do this for a living so I have to remain rooted in reality.
You are the fool here....citing December...a known month to have exposed the problems within the Comex system.
I'm the fool eh? So tell me why a lesser delivery load in March is going to achieve what a larger delivery load in December didn't? Do you have any proof of delivery issues from December? I'm afraid that ridiculous cash premium claims don't cut it, they don't even begin to make sense! So come on, do tell what problems you believe exist within the Comex. Try quoting something credible when you do it!
You seem to have a problem, you project what you think I believe into the argument without actually understanding what it is I believe. Many of your comments have be well off base in terms of my position, you are more often than not tilting at a windmill! While it is amusing to watch you do this I'd prefer to see some fact supporting your ideas, I'm actually curious to see if you can support any of what you say, so far you have failed comprehensively!
So again I put it you that this month has been business as normal with no undue signs of stress in the market. Sure it looks bullish but there is no backwardation to speak of, there are no signs of a short squeeze in play, there is plenty of inventory to cover any possible delivery request, all delivery requests have been stopped. Where is the smoke?
Why don't you go and have a close look at the Year to date delivery report, pay special attention to JPM.... Do you see what they are doing? Now go and look at the inventory numbers, again look at JPM. Can you make sense of that? Go on give it a try, you may surprise yourself.
