GIM Getting New Hard Drive Tonight

Hi Folks,

Sometime between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM tonight (i.e. Wednesday morning), we will be upgrading the hard drive on our server (250GB to 1TB, for those who are interested in those kinds of things).

The site will go down while the operation takes place.

It's planned, not an attack, no need for new conspiracy rumors (although I'm sure we'll get some!).

Sorry for any inconvenience. We don't know yet if it will speed up the server but the old hard drive was at over 80% capacity. We also hope this will give us a year or two before we have to upgrade again.

Well, it didn't happen last night, for whatever reason but is supposed to REALLY happen tonight.

OK. After straightening out some questions they didn't ask at first, we are now told that we will REALLY get a new hard drive tonight between 0200 and 0600 CDT.
