If he gave out that information we'd be able to go see that it's he that is calling for collapse. ;)

Actually I could NOT find the thread> weird but the truth. It concerned secret, confidential stuff which I myself also take with a grain of salt. It might have been yanked which makes me think there is some cred there?
We all remember white rabbit with the countdown in the fall of 09.

I think this train may go to the geological 16/1 before it stabilizes.

16:1 is barking muffins, but then again ratio wise everything is batpoop nowdays so I have given up on predicting anything.

You folks playing fast and loose are reaping huge benefits now, just don't cry when your window slams shut.

I, for one, have been taking profits all the way up.
Just because I called this over 2 years and made my choice for silver over gold and put EVERYTHING I had into silver, doesn't mean I should be disappointed and feel bad. I don't.
Again, as I've said for years, silver will be 16/1> 3200/200 by the Holidays 2012 as I've said on other boards.
So far, so good.

I just don't get the hate silver fans have for gold fans. The chest thumping is a little tiring. Gold had its run up (with more to come IMO).

It has gone in both directions.

Anyone else remember the "Neener neener neener!" stuff on the old GIM, back when gold was enjoying a price rise when silver was not?

There were a number of condescending lectures from those who favored gold. Now that the growth rates have rebalanced, I hope that silver partisans will abstain from similar smug preening.

By the way, the timing of the movements of gold and silver sure looks like what several experts have said happens during metals bull markets. First gold rises gradually, and then silver zips to catch up.

The bottom line is silver has myriad industrial uses and gold does not.
Of course gold is money and has been for thousands of year! That is saying quite a thing.
Then again Article One, Section Ten> silver is money too.
Therefore silver does hedge one's bets by being both. Gold does NOT.

Gold has plenty of industrial uses. It's just that it's so expensive that silver is often used in its stead.

Being commercially useful is only good up to a point. Then it becomes a issue of diminishing returns. When silver is laying low, commercial usage actually tends to hold the prices down as silver miners look to ensure a steady market for newly mined product. It is NOT industrial use that has driven the current bull market. Hence, the argument that silver has industrial uses is without merit when discussing its possible continuing rise. The higher it goes, the less likely the commercial demand.

Some experts (like you) gave the technical stuff with the pie charts, etc TODAY and I think it was 20% industrial and 40% investment which surprised me as I thought it was reversed so you MAY be more right on this than I am?

Lets see. . . Considering that I bought two Gold Maples today. . . I'd say HELL NO!

Right now I think silver has more potential, but I also like diversification.

Drunk on percentage gains is he. Be careful and remember we play for tomorrow. Time and time again when the economic machine breaks down only gold rises to the top. See depression scenarios that unfolded worldwide for proof (yes the ratios get closer but gold is king). Also the reason reserve banks both settle in gold and hedge against inflation with it (they do no ues silver).

I only buy silver to buy more gold. You do not want to be caught with your pants down later on.

Buying copper is like buying aluminum. Even the homeless can do that (neither is a real hedge, asset, or even real money for that matter).
