I still need to buy Hot Springs. I was traveling when it came out and missed the on sale date. By the time, I realized it was on sale, it was sold out. That is going to be an expensive mistake.

I have an extra if you want, PM me, Mrs. Old would be ecstatic if I actually sold something.

Demand must be low. I went to the US Mint web site at 12:18 and was checked out by 12:19. Order number is 38201xxx.

I ordered as well this afternoon and it was like in under 60 seconds.....maybe with Ag dropping like a rock today people stayed away.....

Sales are going to get slower with silver below $30.00 as the premium on this coin is now $26.99 per ounce if silver is at $30. With today's pricing, one can buy ten ounces instead of 5 ounces with a P. I think I will be cancelling my mint order for Gettysburg and reinvesting in the bullion ATB.

I'm done with this set, I'll buy the bullion coins, but no way I'm paying those premiums.

I can't believe that the MS-69 PL or Better- Gettysburg and Glacier -park set is only $340 for the pair!

No, this is great, higher premiums = lower mintage.

I agree with that; however, scarcity alone is not enough to keep the spread between the "P" ATB and the bullion ATB, and these will sell out as the mintage is relatively low relative to price. Another way to think about it is you can buy two bullion ATB for the cost of one "P", meaning a small increase in the price of silver will cause the bullion coins to increase in value. The "P" coins can only increase if there is demand from collectors or the silver content reaches above $50 per ounce. At $50, the return on the bullion coins should be better than the return on the "P" coins.

The US Mint is currently repricing the "P"s due to the collapse in silver prices. If the drop in price is at least $50, I will place a new order.

Good for them to do the right thing. Agree with you bullion coins are a value, and in the long run may be as collectible as Ps if mintages stay low. I was trying to collect the highest graded bullion coins but cannot afford those premiums unless they drop, so I'm out for now.:broken_heart:

Were you able to cancel your original order. It appears to me that the CANCEL function has disappeared from the website despite an October 11 estimated delivery date.

Thanks guys!

I just cancelled my Gettysburg "P"; apparently you can cancel anything on backorder.

Of course I will be buying again when the price goes down.

Could you please spell out how you cancelled. The "Track my order" page says, 'If items in your order are backordered, you may cancel them by selecting the checkbox and clicking "Cancel Item(s)."', yet there is no 'checkbox' anywhere, and the order is listed as backordered. I have seen the option before on other orders, just not showing-up this time.

Thanks.

If you're using Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc. then log out and open an Internet Explorer window. Then head to the mint site and try to cancel your order. I have found that certain sites don't always display properly in non-IE browsers. Give it a shot and let us know...

Damn you guys. I was happy with my decision to get the Lunar 2 Silver and quit the ATB pucks. Now with this price decrease, this is what I'm thinking.

I canceled my Gettysburg order this morning before the "repricing event" using Firefox 6.0. Once the US Mint is finished and the "P" puck is available, I will make my purchase decision.

I had dropped out after all the 2010 P Pucks, but with the possible repricing, I may have to reconsider as well. Luckily I didn't order, so I don't have to worry about the cancelling part.

Sets of the 5 2010 Ps are going for $1450-1475 on ebay, who would have thought? That's not much over original purchase price from Mint. Maybe I'll rethink the 2011 Ps, just wait and get a whole set next year for cost on the bay and save some grief!

If the cancel box is missing then the product is being readied for shipping....cannot cancel order

No problem, wait until delivery and just return it...one of the reasons on the return slip is "Changed mind"
