Yes they were. Thanks, ChoiceBU, for the heads up. I haven't purchased my Olympic National Park one yet.
The uncirculated SAE coin was also lowered.
13802
MS only:
Key coin number three by-the-way. 330K = 2011 ASE "W"
Key coin number two of 100K = 2011 ASE "S" (from 25th set)
Key coin number ONE of 47K = 2007/2008 "W" error coin

Man it sure seems like a long time ago that the bullion fiasco transpired. I need to do some moving around of assets. Sell some 68 dmpl sets and pick up some other stuff. I guess time to get off my duff and get er done :) I think the opportunity is perfect to move up to a 69 dmpl and move out the rest for some low mintage stuff :) Even at these prices I pull in a nice profit. It was hard to go wrong with the bullion.
Sell bars and junk rounds first.
With the 2010 bullion ATB 5 oz. pucks they are 33,000 numis now because of the population.
I sincerely wonder how long the US can keep putting up these 5 oz. coins?
With over ten coins that means ROCKET SCIENCE in price like the 100K 25th sets!
They are way past America's silver production already just with the ASE at 42 million last year (SALES of 38.8 million 2011 & 3.2 million on 1-3-12 of all things?)
Rule five FUNDAMENTALS rule out.

I'm considering it by playing the grading game. I noticed the Olympic ones right now graded are selling in the following ranges:
SP69 = $200-$209 (low end on Silvertowne, higher end on MCM)
NGC SP70 = $479-$580 (low end on MCM, higher end on eBay)
PCGS SP70 = $610-$749 (low end on eBay, higher end on MCM)

Be sure to let us know how that game goes. I think there are a number of us that are plently gun shy on the atb grading game.
I'm in for a Vicksburg or 2 or 3.

Will do so, I'm selling some of my 25th anniversary eagle coins (W-MS, W-PF, MS) on the BST area of this forum in order to cash flow the game some. I'm thinking of wading in with 10, 5 to NGC and 5 to PCGS.

Just ordered a Vicksburg. Took about 30 seconds.
For anyone keeping tabs, after I completed that order, I then went back and ordered something else. The order numbers were over 300 numbers apart.

Latest weekly sales for 5 oz "P" ATBs (in bold).
2011-P Vicksburg 5 Ounce Uncirculated Silver Coins 7,861 7,861
2011-P Olympic 5 Ounce Uncirculated Silver Coins 11,260 11,938 678 6.02% 35,000
2011-P Glacier 5 Ounce Uncirculated Silver Coins 14,407 14,808 401 2.78% 35,000
2011-P Gettysburg 5 Ounce Uncirculated Silver Coins 17,145 17,579 434 2.53% 35,000
I pulled these latest Mint sales numbers from Silver coin Today. It would seem that the numbers are on the pitiful side plus we need to remember that these most recent sub 1000 coin sales have occurred with spot around $30 and the sale price at $204.95/coin. What happens if/when spot heads up and the price goes with it?
I'm also looking at the future so I did a little math regarding the first 3 2011 P coins and at the current sell rates how long it would take to exhaust the 35,000 mintages per coin.
Gettysburg: 40 weeks
Glacier: 50 weeks
Olympic: 34 weeks
I have to wonder how that is going to work now that Vicksburg is out adding a remaining 27,139 plus Chickasaw still to come adding 35,000 plus 5 more 2012 coins adding yet another 175,000 coins. Added up the Mint will have 237,139 5 oz "P" ATBs alone to sell. And we're not talking about the bullion versions at 126,000 plus mintages (633,500 coins minus existing sales of course). Yikes!
Looking at shelf space taken up by product the 2011 Ps at best won't be completely gone prior to 2013 which would mean the 2012 coins will be around into 2014. Seems the more they offer the behinder they get.
All this with a product losing steam on the popularity front. Hmmm.

The numbers indicate that the P's are a great coin to buy. I have been buying just 1 but think I will start looking at 3 or 4 of each.

I'm out buying the 'P' mints. Will continue with the raw coins, but not paying the premiums on these. FWIW, I think the 7 ounces of bullion you could buy, for the price of the puck, will be worth more.

If you can buy 7 ounces at $29 per ounce ok. Pretty tough with spot at $31. Certainly you can buy 6 ounces for the same as the 5 ounce puck at $40 per ounce. I'll take that chance on these for sure. Guess I have become a numi stacker :) The new breed of stacker :)

Good luck from here lightcycle! First it will be a roll of '21 Morgans, then you'll start collecting them bydate and mintmark, and before you know it you will be investing time, money, and effort examining each coin in excruciating detail looking for new discovery VAM varieties... stack that!

Has anyone gotten their Vicksburg yet? I ordered mine 3-4 days after they went on sale and I keep getting backorder emails. Do you think they finally got smart and started selling them before pressing them?

Same here, but they did ship out my silver set this week.
All last week they were doing inventory and cleanup, they weren't shipping anything out.

I'm going in for the Ps now (one each) with silver spot approaching $34, just can't see how they will keep them at the $204 price much longer unless we get a smack down (don't see that coming though). Yeah, what's with the backorder on Vicksburg? Wish Chickasaw was already out at this price, but unlikely to stay here IMO.

On Vicksburg, maybe they ran out of blanks in December and couldn't make up to the maximum allowed? If so, I'll be happy as the status on my order changed today to "In stock and reserved"
I'm thinking over $34 as well is going to cause a price adjustment on them.

I ordered mine at 3pm on 1/12/12 and I keep getting the same emails everyone else is getting. I wonder if they'll push back the release of Chicksaw until they can start shipping Vicksburg? If they don't, the chance of holding the $204/ea price is better, imo.
EDIT: My cancel order button just went away. I'm now reserved and in process. :565: :shine:

Even buying new from the mint, what are the odds of getting some dealers sloppy seconds that where returned? I am thinking about ordering one of each but if i have a high chance of getting rejects, i might just order the last one released and just order new one's as they come out.

I have to wonder about the future of the P versions after looking at the pace of sales. It looks as though at current sales the 2011s won't sell out prior to the end of 2012. Meanwhile the 2012 Ps (if they are offered will also be available which in my mind seems like way too much product for a disinterested market. And add to that all the recent talk about the mint offering new sets of eagles and commemoratives at much lower prices and I just don't see much of a future for the ATB P. Let's see: start a 2 coin eagle set for $125 per year versus $1000+/year to maintain a P set.
Hmmm.

Hmmm.Yes, I got the survey and was surprised at all the offerings they might be making in 2012. I decided to cancel the P order for now and instead opted for the plat eagle. IF the price of ATB P is still the same when Chickasaw comes out, I might reconsider, but the problem is just as you say. The future is looking bleak with so little interest, they are expensive as a collection, AND bulky to store in the packaging. I'm going with my gut and waiting to see what happens with their new offerings (and hope they don't take down the 25th anniversary set's value in the process)!:(

How many dealers do you think ordered these? I bet not many as they got burned on too many bullion graded Gettys & Glaciers.

On the other hand, if one just wants government minted silver for the least amount of premium, the ATB 5 ouncers are a better deal (at least right now).

Today I got another one of those delayed shipment emails. Now the shipping date is 2/6/12. There must be some disconnect somewhere. My mint account says "order closed. 1 unit shipped on 01/27/2012" .
