hey guys, it is not in chat on the website,

it is a third party provider,

we call in to that number,

then it asks you to press 1 if you want to speak to the host,

once you press 1, then you get put in the que and RichG can see you in the 'waiting room',

he can then click a button on his control panel and you are then live with whomever is on at the time,

hopefully you guys will be able to make time in the future, as it is going to be a blast,

all shows will be archived for members availability to listen to at their leisure,

"gee-eye-emm"? Funny. I've always called it "gimm," rhymes with "jim".

Oh, and TnAndy has an accent. Who would've guessed?

Sign in using your Social Network account

I don't do that crap. Is there any way to listen without signing in ?

Yes it is, a couple of us are on the chat

Don't really understand WHERE you were, because we have a "switchbd" thing, with the number of lines, and no one but Scorpio and Skyvike showed up on the bd....there were at least two open lines that nothing ever showed on....so, obviously, we have some technical issues to overcome, and my apology for that. Thought we had it worked out, but apparently not.

The guys also bring up a great point,

about how I need to get the chat room working properly also,

I'll get on it guys, I will just need help to source out what is up with it,

So if you could, 'bear' with me a bit ..............

Scorpio

Currently we have 1 hr blocks to work with of time on the outside provider,

We can do up to 2 hrs each, 7 days a week,

Although none of us have that kind of time block available,

Scorpio

you can listen to the show without hooking up there,

to participate, we all have to do the call in thing,

that is how Sky and I got on,

Whereas Tn and RichG are our controllers, so they actually have a dashboard to run things, que in people waiting and so on,

They do all the work is what it boils down to,

I just yap is all,

If you missed it, the archive is here:

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/goldismoneyradio/2011/05/12/goldismoney-debut-show

There is a 30 second ad on the front end we don't control, sorry....cost of the service.

I was on the blogtalkradio.com web page that was linked from the OP (although you had to click on the "More..." link from the landing page to get to the page with the audio -- that link / page is gone now that the show is over).

You can listen to the audio from that page without having an account. There is also a chat box on the lower half of the page. However, if you want to chat, you have to register first.

For those who call-in, there's no reason why you couldn't also be on the chat page -- unless you have dial-up, I guess.

G-I-M....it's an acronym.

True, but also used here as part of a word -- like "gimmer".

Yeah, It took me a few tries to get into the chat but I don't think Rich and Andy could see us in there. You got the ball rolling though, Congrats on that!

Very nice debut Rich G, TnAndy, Skyvike and Scorpio. The highlight was Andy dropping the term "deadslaves." I'm looking forward to the next show and appreciated the history and origin of GIM.

TnAndy

While I may have said "deadslaves".....and some of them no doubt are, what I thought I said was DEBT slaves....ahahahaaaaa

Hey, great show guys..... it was nice to hear all about the underlying driver for GIM of getting the word out to the younger generation, which this forum certainly does. I did like the idea of the wiki to consolidate some of the fundamental knowledge and make it more accessible to the newer crowd, speaking as someone going through that process now, that would be terrific! The forum is a lively, fun place to be and every so often gems definitely show up, but it is a bit hit and miss, and I can only imagine what has already passed before I tuned in here. I know it'll be more work, but I wanted to make sure you guys know that everything you are doing in providing this space is very much appreciated!

Oops, my bad, you probably did say debt slaves and I heard it incorrectly. My comprehension of southern drawl isn't very good.

Yeah....I'm looking online for a translation tool for those of ya'll up in Yankeeland.......I don't need a repeat of the incident of that gal from Ohio that thought we were engaged when CLEARLY I was just out for a test drive.....that was a close one......

I also want to add that the format of having you guys talking about things really lends itself to quickly and easily taking a deeper dive into things without wearing out your fingers on the keyboard..... Scorpio's explanation of the Silver correction definitely stood out to me, because I remember reading the posts and the very valid points he was making about what defines a correction I totally missed. And honestly, it was just fun hearing your guys shooting the sh*t, and having a good time.... now I want to see that clip where hunter kicks the bear in the nuts! Thanks again guys!

No... but I can relate.

Thanks for the good cheer everyone. Was lots of fun. Still needs work, pure audio is a real bitch, but Andy and I are having fun with it, and are working to make it a great experience for everyone involved.

Thanks to everyone that called in ........ oh wait.....no one f&8king called in. (just kidding :-) ). Anyway, just like this forum, it is the members that will make it a 'first class' endeavor, and make or break it. I am proud of our membership and wish to share it with the world.
