GIM Radio

Rich G has cooked up a radio blog for GIM where he and I will co-host a one hour show, hopefully once a week.

This will be live, and anyone can call in, and then there will be an archive of past shows if anyone wants to bring it up and listen.

The first show will be 8pm EST, Wednesday, 11 May.

Our intent is to have Scorpio and Skyvike on to talk about how GIM got started.

Rich will be adding the URL to this thread. It will contain a call in phone number if any of ya'll want to call in and join the BS session.

I think the call-in # will be posted on the show page just before the show starts. There is also a chat area while the show is on. We will be on for an hour. This should be fun. :smokin:

I'm a great fan of this idea. But you really should talk to the Sovereign Economist (Ralph Evans) who is a member here at GIM2 and also the owner/operator of LibertyandFreedomRadio.net about the problems with running an online radio show. It requires a huge commitment of time and energy. So, be careful not to build expectations beyond what you can deliver. The first time people show up for a show that never happens (for whatever good reason), the project can take a huge nose dive. So, good luck guys. I'll listen in and I do wish you well.

P.S., Ralph would make a good call-in guest on your show. And I am absolutely certain that many of you would be welcome on his. Cross-pollination, if you will.

might also look up andy gause. he's a good one. he does a couple of radio shows at www.oneradionetwork.com and maintains a facebook account for listeners that want to converse with him. imo cat is sharp as a tack -

Food preps - what to store, how much to store per person, how to store it, tips on taking inventory, canning, etc..

Other supplies to prep - medical, clothing, tools, gardening, fuel storage, misc supplies, guns, BOB's, etc

Money - what is money, pm vs. paper, history of gold/silver, etc


I think those would be some good, basic starter topics that everyone could benefit from.

I can hear the show but when I try to sign in I see the little dot going back and forth and it says "connecting" underneath like it's timing and then after a few minutes I get booted off.

Every 6-7 minutes I get kicked off. Not sure if it's the site or maybe my connection.
