FYI: Believe it or not but Apmex seems to have lowest price on the net for Ag rounds and bars @ $1.49 over spot, any amount.

These are only on products carrying the Apmex logo but still a good deal compared to all others.

Shipping priced on dollar amount scale. Works out to more than other dealers for a roll.

I think you'll find www.coloradogold.com cheaper.

A little bit but 100 oz minimum.

Since I posted, others are going on sale. Gainesville had the lowest priced rounds a few minutes ago all things considered.

apmex is lowering a lot of preiums, they must expect a massive tank in metals.

They are hedged. The need or desire to raise cash makes more sense to me.

Can't pay your bills if you don't sell product.

These guys are not dumb, either they see a near term tanking,
demand lessoning (summertime business doldrum), or refineries have caught up with all the product thrown at them at $40+

I know of one local dealer that sold 15,000 ounces of scrap 90% and .925 at $42.00...sure there are many, many more across the planet.

First, APMEX is hedged. It don't matter if silver "tanks". Second, they aren't unloading scrap. They are simply trying to move product to a worried clientele.

That is a decent sale. $1.49 over... not so much.

But, What about the "silver shortage"? Is $1.49 over unreasonable in times like these???

Took a small nibble last week, when they were selling the APMEX rounds at 99c over spot. Also bought the Olympic ATB when I bought the rounds. Waiting for a bigger dip before I empty my wallet.

Here's there best deal on APMEX. $1.00 UNDER Spot. Not something I would buy, but for pure silver a great deal.

Apmex has regular prices there are just too high. Westminster Mint has a lot of generic silver for .99-1.02 over spot all the time. I'll support the dealer that has a good everyday price first and not play into the dealer that charges so much they can throw the people a bone once in a while.

I have always heard poor things about Westminster, but I've never purchased from either.

I would guess they are coming down a bit because other dealers that are cheaper are hurting their sales. These companies don't just throw prices out there. They maximize profit. As Apmex is the first dealer most people here of due to a lot of advertising, a lot of newbies enter in to it not knowing of anyone else.

When these clowns sell a beer for 6 dollars at a baseball game it isn't just for the heck of it. They figure out how much they are going to sell at what price and how much profit can be maximized. The problem is that idiots go to these games and pay outrageous 'park' prices. If they'd quit doing it, the price would become more reasonable. There are all kinds of signs of societal crumblings. The most of which is that people pay 3-4 bucks for bottled water at a park. I just can't conceive of their thought process. I am wondering if there is one. A few years back I sold pop and water at Nebraska football games. After the games, pops were gone for the most part but there was always an army of half drank Dasani's. 3 bucks for a small container and they weren't even drinking them. I'd say 80% of the water sales were from woman. Not making a statement just putting a fact out there.
