Having problems logging in

After a long hiatus, I returned here only to find that the site wouldn't log me in properly. I kept getting the welcome message, but without being logged in.

I e-mailed Scorpio, and he told me that I had to clear my cookies and do a double log on to actually get on. That worked the first time, but the next time it was the same thing (1) I logged on, (2) The site welcomed me by name, (3) It went back to the log on screen without acknowledging me, except that I was in the list of "active users".

Do I have to go through all this every time I log on?

Can anyone offer me any suggestions?

I have the same problem with the default skin, no matter if cookies are cleared or not. I found that after I login, I can just ignore the next screen that looks like I need to login again. Instead of logging in a second time, I click the "What's New?" button, and the list pops up normally with a screen that shows I am logged in OK. Recently, I changed my bookmark for GIM to the GIM Silver skin, and it works properly without any problem. Try changing the skin (bottom left of the page) before logging in, and see if that helps.

I'm getting the same thing as Wetherman.

For me, just hitting the "what's new" button is easier than changing skins. I'm comfortable in the skin I'm in.

I seem to get kicked out every time I log in, and then get kicked out again when I try to view Today's Posts, and I have to log in again to post a reply.

(I'm using GIM2 Silver - nice default skin.)

I clear my cache regularly.

Don't ask me why, gents, but it has to do with whether you're going to "goldismoney2.com" or "www.goldismoney2.com"

We haven't been able to figure out why but for some reason the VBulletin considers these to be two different addresses and will not consider you logged in if you go to the address without the "www."

Try logging and when it doesn't show you logged in, add the "www" to the address and "poof!" you'll be logged in again.

Change your bookmark, homepage, etc. to "www.goldismony2.com" and clear your cache. Close your browser, reopen, log in, and I think you'll find your problem solved.
