2009 Buffalo Proof

Anyone know what the 1oz AU Buffalo proof cost when it first became available in 2009? Was this avail. thru mint or the 'dealers'? Trying to determine how much they have gone up since first issued, someone is offering one for $1580 and that seemed reasonable, a friend is asking me what I think. I was just curious how much higher this price is from original price. Have not ben able to find orig. price. TIA

Available thru the mint when new. Don't remember the price new. To me $1580 is a good price. Melt is $1500. A 2011 from the mint is selling for $1810.

They debuted at $1360, they didn't come out til near the end of '09.

thanks all, I thought it sounded good for a prf. if they came out the end of 09 that is a pretty good move and the new ones at 1800+ unreal.

Buy IT! I have the 06 and 07, not the rest, but it is a beautiful coin IMHO and even Mrs. Old says it will be the last ones we sell.
