Do you own it now?

It should be OK if it runs reliably with ball and hps, using at least a couple extra mags, and you are willing to practice with it to develop a high level of proficiency.

It ain't a lot of firepower, but if you can carry it discretely, draw it quickly, and deliver accurate fire on target you should be at least adequately armed.

My only experience with one (in 380)...had a very heavy double-action pull.

Good luck.

thanx SC. yea,Ive had it for a while and probably put less than 1000 rounds through it.when i got it the DA pull was like picking up a manhole cover with your index finger.changed out the springs and all is good. doesn't like HP"s to much, but never a problem w/FMJ.i agree.7+1 isn't a lot of firepower . but it's spankier than a 380,very accurate ,and ammo is cheap.saving up for a Ruger SP101 3in 357.have a good 1.....
