WoW! One thing is crystal clear and that is HC desperately needs new advisers/PR people. Having a semi-crusty looking white guy who clearly isn't an actor vouch for you may sound like a good idea on paper. However by the time you film him taking a drag off a cancer stick and then fade into HC's very creepy smile that 'good idea' has gone off the tracks.

Another week or two of stuff like this and this will be his new campaign song:

Him ending that commercial by taking a long drag off a cigarette was just..............creepy.

Cain is a smart guy: mathematician, computers, ballistic missiles, etc.

But if this is some kind of attempt at reverse psychology: "Everybody look at how dumb of a campaign ad I can produce", it ain't gonna work.

That guy looks like a used car salesman, specializing in Yugos, Pintos and Vegas. http://goldismoney2.com/images/smilies/standard/thumb.aspx.gif

Cain’s chief of staff smokes in new YouTube ad [VIDEO] (http://dailycaller.com/2011/10/24/cains-chief-of-staff-smokes-in-new-youtube-ad-video/)

Paul Conner is an online editor with the Daily Caller. He was a contributing writer for four years with the Greenville News covering high school sports in Upstate South Carolina before interning with TheDC last spring and summer. A Palmetto State native, he covered South Carolina politics during the 2010 midterm elections for TheDC and is a recent graduate of North Greenville University (S.C.) with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

Businessman Herman Cain posted a head-scratching YouTube video in which his chief of staff, Mark Block, takes a drag on a cigarette after asking voters to “get involved” in the campaign.

“Tomorrow is one day closer to the White House,” Block declares. “I really believe that Herman Cain will put ‘united’ back in the United States of America, and if I didn’t believe that, I wouldn’t be here.”

“We’ve run a campaign like no one’s ever seen,” he says, shaking his head. “But then, America has never seen a candidate like Herman Cain.”

Block, the man who talked Cain into running for president (http://dailycaller.com/2011/10/03/meet-mark-block-the-man-who-talked-herman-cain-into-running-for-president/), then puts a cigarette to his mouth and takes a puff as Krista Branch’s “I Am America” plays. Cain gives a knowing smile as the video fades.

Some on Twitter speculated that the video, available on Cain’s official YouTube channel only through an unlisted URL, was a hoax. The two most popular commenters on the video said it was one of the worst political ads they had seen.

If he believes what he is saying, why is he shaking his head "no"??

What a totally strange ad, but I needed a good laugh and this sure provided it. Then the pedophile/stalker smile at the end, omg. How bizarre! :s13:

Well, it wasn't a collection of back to back flat out lies. Thats a first, I'll give them credit for that at least.

I just watched the ad.

One thing is clear, he has folks talking about the ad for the past 3 days.

Cain's name has been mentioned numerous times.

So what if the guy smokes? It's not illegal is it? It's not as if pizza is considered a 'health' food either....

The smoking ad really has people talking, either positive or negative. Does this ad now set the standard for the rest of the front runners ads? We'll see how quirky all the ads become, except for Ron Paul's ads, his are quirky to the people because they make sense.
