Unsustainable

I sold a monster box of silver eagles today.
Bought when spot was ~ $16.25
Sold when spot today was $30.75
Bought low. Sold higher. Better yield than any stock, bond, bank cd
Actually traded/upgraded/converted to gold eagles plus 1K+ change.
Yea, I know. Not the BEST ratio I could have done but I do it when I can and don't play the ratios. The local dealers suggested this possibility as I'm a regular buyer though, so far, reluctant seller.
Projected silver decreases prompted me to finally bite a larger bullet and sell some volume while still realizing gains.
I (we) get the gold eagles.
The Missus will get the $1K + change to pay off her credit card (household and kid maintenance expenses).
On a side note...
Sold my 2008 6 cylinder 4x4 Nissan McPickup truck @ 62K miles today for $12K
Bought a 1996 garage kept 6 cylinder 4x4 Nissan pickup @ 38.5K miles last month for $8K
New truck is still paid off
Insurance 50% less
Lighter weight/better mileage w/enough pull for me
Gots $4K to play with...school tuition or home improvement
Might sell/convert another box o silver this week or soon.
Its just one of several...wondering wait or do it now(ish).
See what happens with the Super Committee failure...we were watching this on the big TV in the dealer shop and wondering its effect on metals.
On the whole, a commonsense financial and forward thinking kinda day.
Dad (RIP) would be proud.
