My employee said he found a gold coin and he wanted me to check it out. I told him want is was and it was worth $180, I jokingly said I will give you $150 for it and he didn't think twice. But the real scoop he bought it off a little girl for $10 and made a decent profit. So anyway, hope none of you guys are missing an AGE, your daughters might be selling for cheap.

Wow, and as I was reading your totally believable story I was eating a piece of cheese cake and what should happen to have been baked into it but a perfectly preserved 1931 St. Gaudens gold eagle. Good cheesecake, baked by my employee, who is a little girl that sells gold coins for next to nothing.
No really, your story is great. Some great novels have amazing twists and turns and surprise endings. But they take pages and pages to endure. Your 'employee' went from finding a gold coin to buying it from a fairy princess in only a few sentences. I think there is a real scoop alright, but its not quite as palatable as ice cream.

Hey, no skin off my nose. I love a good story and figure whether they are true or not just back ground noise. I liked yours.
My dad used to work on the railroad shoveling coal. One day he got a little close to the oven and fell in landing on his shoulder. It burnt the skin right off. They were in a remote part of the western US and he needed a skin graft right away. The only doctor available was a country type who had the idea to use goat skin. Well it went off well and my dad had a patch of goat skin on his shoulder until his dying day. The only drawback was that on hot summer days when he sweat a lot, he smelled like a goat.
But I told you that story to tell you this. My dad taught me that if you drill a small hole in a poplar tree and snap off a green stick from elsewhere on the tree and insert into the hole, it will grow into a branch. Try it!
