The Senate Courts of Justice Committee on Wednesday approved a measure that would eliminate Virginia's one-gun-a-month restriction on handgun purchases, setting up what could be the most significant change to Virginia's gun laws in years.

Does Virginia law allow private gun sales? I've only bought one of my current guns through a dealer.

I suppose it's good to see the relaxing of the law, but in VA, you can already buy more than 1 handgun per month if you have CWP or if you purchase from a private party(ies).

Absolutely. And, if there is a man or woman in the state of VA that doesn't already have their concealed carry permit, I am not aware of it. It's practically mandatory.
