Just curioius what people think of them.

They don't seem to be very popular. I have some silvers and while I like the design it does lend itself as being a little too busy. Do the gold versions give that same impression? I was thinking of getting a 1 oz version.

I like them just fine, but the spread seems too wide at the moment compared to some other good choices (using APMEX for reference).

I've got a few of them. Mostly what I look for in a gold bullion coin is the lowest possible transaction cost and it really doesn't make that much difference to me what kind. Mine just sit in a SDB anyway, hardly ever see them.

Here's the obverse:

Very attractive coins - bought one just to have one.

I read they are popular in Japan (large demand) - because the philharmonic has a huge following there. Can't confirm that.

I just don't see a demand for them here in the US, so I don't buy them regularly.

This is my opinion, but in person, I don't think they are that attractive of a bullion coin compared to it's peers. I've never seen a proof one so it might be a nicer.

I like them very much. They don't seem to be real popular, but I have one just to keep around because I like it.
