I found this video interesting. A bit long ... but for some reason I still like Mike Maloney.

http://rt.com/programs/capital-account/maloney-manipulation-gold-silver/

Catching a few underlying reasons for Gold market manipulation makes it a bit easier for me to accept that the Fed, US government, CFTC, foreign banks and governments, etc. are all engaged in the manipulation for what could be valid reasons from their viewpoint - fiat stabilization. Gold and silver are limited. Fiat is not. They (TPTB) maintain more control as long as they control the financial base ... fiat. If something else were to look more stable to the masses, especially something limited and they can't control, they would loose their powers.

In the video, Mike is very adamant the PM market manipulation will end. IF we accept that manipulation is occurring, what will happen when it ends? Obviously Gold and Silver (read all PMs) value will rise. What will happen to the world's fiat? Also, adding another conspiracy theory to the mix, what will happen to the US and its financial system IF Fort Knox in fact contains little or no gold?

I really like Mike Maloney, too. He doesn't get enough play here at GIM.

What needs to happen is the CRIMEX ceases to be the global "price discovery" exchange. They trade paper there, not physical.

I don't think I will see the true value in my lifetime. And I'm only in my 30's :(

Oil goes to $10-15 per gallon, and the "economy"(see: Shopping at Walmart) takes a nosedive.

Energy costs rise, import prices rise etc. The American people wake up with 75% less wealth, but the same # of USD.
