To date I've accumulated tubes of AGE and Maples and Pandas (numi keepers). Sold some for profits over the years but still work to accumulate gold and maintain the cycling.
To date I've accumulated tubes of ASE for later conversion; Pandas as numi keepers.
The numismatic/coin collecting bug has bitten me again, now in a big way, after many years...primarily for key dates, proofs releases and obsolete coinage so I have some "tangible asset" $ going in that direction. NOT doing classic pre 1933 US gold.
I'm now thinking of diversifying my gold/silver accumulation to just 1 oz bars to gain a better value now that I have some $ competition.
The LCS deals in Pamp Siusse and Silvertown products which would make a good payday variety.
Can I sell the bars as easily as the coins at dealers should I want to convert some back to dollars?
The "bar" thing is totally new to me. Just a different shape or is there more to it than that?
Thanks for any recommendations and ideas.

I've never had any problem selling bars.

Plenty of good choices out there in silver... mix & match.

In gold, PAMP seems to be the market standard in the US now, but I also have a nostalgic affection for Credit Suisse.

if you go to a site like tulving or wexford coin, you can see buy and sell prices. the spread is different for every item, and tends to be narrowest for krugerands and highest for less liquid items. bars are a little less liquid than coins so expect a slightly wider bid ask spread.

I too have been tempted to transition out of some of my numis into straight bullion. For instance, I could trade my 2009 UHR's for almost double the weight in gold bullion. What is holding me back is the fact that the numis has not only held its high value over spot as gold spot has gone down but they have even increased in value.

Maybe post some for sale here? I might be interested for nice looking non details PCGS or NGC slabbed mint state US numismatics?
