Doubtful. First, because he's only going off-grid for a year. And second, because he talked to the press about his plans; very bad OPSEC.

Interesting going into :isolation" at 40. Must be his mid-life crisis. He should have some great beachcombing. He should bring a japanese translation dictionary to understand what he has found.

Good on him, but not for me.
I like my garden & deer roaming in the yard is bad enough without a bunch of bear mucking things up.
