My dos centavos? Coming from The 614?

Nebraska in the Big Ten? Ok, fine. You wanted an even number? You got it.

But Texas? Nope. No way.

Texas was in the South Western Conference. The South Western Conference imploded.

Texas is in the Big 12. The Big 12 is on the verge of implosion.

Odds of the University of Texas peacefully co-existing with Ohio State? Zero.

Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn’t know enough about the culture of either. (Hint: Ohio IS the Texas of the Midwest.)

Texas in the Big Ten? Brutus Buckeye sez “sorry, this conference just ain’t big enough for the both of us.” :no_ma:

My advice to Texas? PAC-10. With Tommy Trojan on his knees, the Horns should be able to dictate terms.

Buckeyes and Longhorns in Pasadena? Sounds good to me. :beer1:

I wonder if Nebraska is feeling foolish yet. Surely they realize by now how they got played by Texas. I hated to see them go. I'm a K-State fan and it's kind of like losing a good friend when someone leaves after having been in the same conferences as you for over 100 years.

IMO, we never should have let the Texas teams in - especially TU. They destroyed the SWC. They as good as destroyed the Big 12. And if they had gone to the Pac 10, it would have been only a matter of time. Texas is the Terrell Owens of college sports. Every conference wants what they've got, but every conference would be better off without them in the long run.

And why exactly should Nebraska feel foolish? You say that and then wail on about how Texas has turned the conference into a shambles.

But, not our problem anymore. This is much more than a football thing. NU's culture, the academic advantages etc. I am already proud to have NU be in the esteemed B10.
You have fun with those Longhorns though.
