Indian fanam coin?

OK, hopefully I've uploaded the pics right.

This is an Indian fanam gold coin. There are 3 possibilities here:

1. counterfeit
2. repro from 1970s
3. original (I think it looks like one from the Mysore princely kingdom 1799-1868. Obverse: Narasimha in Yogabandha mudhra (hands on his knees). Reverse: Formalized legend "Sri Kantirava)

Let's understand one another here, this is nothing special regardless how it is determined. I just think it is a neat coin. They were made in the hundreds of thousands, 6mm across, and about 0.3-0.4 grams. the alloy varies (usually 18K+). I am getting the gold content tested on Monday (goldsmith is sure it is gold).

What I would like here is a discussion on which do you think it is.

All info would be appreciated, because regardless of the outcome, I intend to keep the coin and just want to know about it.

Finally got the time to get to the goldsmith and he puts it at 0.32 grams at just under 20K.

So this takes out the fake as they wouldn't bother with using that much gold. It still leaves it being genuine (so still trying to verify an exact period and place) or being a reproduction made for the North American markets in the 70's.

Anyone out there have any insight?

That's been my thought since I got it which had me leaning towards the first 2, which leaves me leaning towards the 70's version.
