Good idea for a forum. I like hearing stories and situations of peoples real life experiences because it gives some insight into my own life as well as those I associate with in real life.

Ponce here.........like I mentioned elsewhere, after two years I was able to bring my brother and family in from Cuba, they went from the Cuba to the airport and from there to my home.........the next day I took them to Wall Mart and you should have seen their eyes, they were afraid to touch anything and even when I told them to buy whatever they wanted they still asked permission before they put something in the cart.

The first thing that the two girls bought (16 and 20) was identical Bikinis for the hot tub (lucky for them we are related yum, yum, yum).....I then took them to the grocery department and they didn't know what the heck they were looking at.......there wasen't much to buy since all my cabinets were already full, they didn't believe all the food that I have (seven years worth), I had to teach the mother how to use the kitchen nick nacks and the girls how to use the washing machine and dryers plus the vaccum cleaner..........what a blast.

Back in Cuba they were living in a 20X20 room with another family.....about nine of them......so that when they saw that each one of them would have their own rooms, and with a stereo and tv, they began to cry........their bathroom in Cuba was a hole in the ground.

Sorry to say that the 16 years old and their mother didn't like it here the woods of Oregon because they didn't have anyone to talk to so that they moved to Miami with the rest of the Cubans......here they had all that they wanted of needed (even a car) and now (I was told) that they are having a lot of problems in Miami because there are no jobs...........by the way, I told them that I never wanted to hear form them again........oh well.
