I have been blasted over the past week or so with emails trying to get me to come back to buy.

I got one with Special Offer so I looked...
Eagles for 4.70 above spot, each coin, and the offer was for a roll of them.
O.K. deal, so Friday I ordered a roll to check them out as a dealer, again.
Been a while since I last ordered anything from them and poor service / lack of items drove me away...
Now with new owners I was hoping they would be a new avenue for me to spend my money...

NOT

Wednesday, I receive an email, they are cancelling my order.
They claimed their website went down and they were going to cancel my order.

When I got the message, I called them, too late, they were closed for the day.
Just now, I spoke with the new owner...
6 orders got caught up in this fiasco.
Their pricing was not updated and the blame was put onto their outside pricing source for their web site.

I was told, I was the only one making an inquiry into this...I said, even better, why not just honor your price with just one guy...I will be back and order more...
He did not honor that request, either

My order was cancelled.

I stated that as business goes, they would be smarter to honor their deal and the six folks ordering would come back and spend more money...Straight Silver would loose no money in the long run.

My order was cancelled.

I was given some legal jargon that their disclaimer allowed them to do this.

I called him a poor business man.

I asked him when I would get a refund...he said he would personally handle it.
I stated to him, it should have already been done...no response.

Straight Silver and their new parent company, Park Avenue Numismatics, treated me poorly and did not honor their 4.70 over spot pricing.

I am done...make up your own minds, I just wanted you to know.

IMHO:
Straight Silver is not an honorable company and they deserve this tale of woe to be told publicly

By coincidence I ordered identical items from Apmex and Provident,both by check. I didn't plan it this way it just happened. I order from whomever is cheaper. I ordered from Provident on 3/9. They received the check on 3/13 and shipped on 3/21. I received it the next day. My only complaint was I was not notified when they shipped.
I recently ordered from Apmex on 4/12 and they received my check on 4/15;as of now they have not shipped. In this case Provident was faster, I don't know why some peoples orders are delayed from Provident. But both orders are identical except for the price. I have no interest in who you order from but in this case Provident is the faster.
