For months now, these guys have been running infomercials several times a day on several AM radio stations in my area.. They're not really pushy, they just beg you to call and get their "free gold guide." They make some good points for noobs, but I'd be cautious of anybody running these frequent infomercials.

Thanks Pideaux for a reply.I contacted them to read their material, but before they sent it they wanted me call them.I waited a bit then called'em back. The guy was already to have me roll over my IRA right there.I said no.Give me info first. So he relented and I've been reading ever since.Don't think I'll bite, yet. At least not with them. There at www.info@safeasgold.com if you care to look.
What about off-shore gold storage like with www.goldmoney.com?

I just got off the phone with these people! After hearing their commercials for years I decided to hear their pitch. Mainly it's a fear based sales approach, you need to buy graded and slabbed Pre-33 gold and if you buy modern bullion it will be confiscated! (The guide totally misses the point of why gold and silver can never be confiscated again and turned into money.)
The woman was very pushy and when I pushed back to give me a price she barfs up $2800 for a MS-62 St Gaudens $20 gold coin. I laugh at her and say that I would pay that much for a Double Eagle, and that is where the fight started because she decided she needed to correct me by saying all Eagles are modern bullion. Well I then asked her what she called $10 gold coins from pre-33? and she came unglued when I told her they were Eagles!
"There is no such thing as a Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle!" is a direct quote.
Quite funny that little education is done before turning these people loose.
And the raw Morgan/Peace dollars were value priced at $39.99!

Why should I buy precious metals through GoldMoney instead of buying coins or certificates?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coins and bars have many disadvantages, including high costs and the time consuming searches for secure storage. These drawbacks can be avoided with GoldMoney. Also, in contrast to coins and bars, which are fabricated into fixed amounts, users can decide to buy any quantity of gold, silver, platinum or palladium they choose, for example, $10 worth, 120 ounces, 9 kilos, etc. And with GoldMoney, selling is as easy as buying.

So if I were to call them and say I want to buy ten ounces Gold bullion they would try to steer me into slabs or other products?
