    Default American Bonanza breaks out.

    BZA.TO
I was a genius when I bought it at 3 1/2 cents 2 years ago, I was an idiot for selling it at 11 cents.

Got back in around 24 cents, just hit 41 cents.

These guys have the best little gold mine in Arizona, coming online in about 6 months.

For the bean-counters, at $1,400 gold, their mine project will have an unprecedented IRR of 170%. Project payback in about 9 months.

    See the feasibility study:

I'm in it for .30cents and I can't even remember how long I've been holding this. Years. I bought it way back when and it promptly started falling I never thought I'd see a profit on this.

Now if BVG (Bravo Ventures Gold) would take off it would be a perfect world.

Bump for my top pick for 2012.

    American Bonanza BZA.TO

Very similar situation to Alexco Silver. See http://goldismoney2.com/showthread.p...-nearly-a-buck

But BZA is for gold. They are about 6 months from re-starting production at a former mine in Arizona. Just yesterday they announced a share offering that will give them enough cash to open the mine.(They only needed another $10 million.)

At $1400 gold, the IRR on the mine project is an unbelievable 170%!! That means the project should pay for itself in less than 6 months!!

The market cap of BZA is only $40 million, They will be producing about 50,000 ounces per year, so the stock is trading at .75x projected cash flow. Unheard of bargain for a gold miner.

I expect a 10-bagger by this time next year, once this stock gets some exposure.

    BZA.TO

It was a great project when Cyprus Minerals had it. We took out a bit over 500,000 ounces. I was an assayer there.

I worked for Cyprus-Amax at the Colorado HQ for a while about 20 years ago.

So why did Cyprus give up on the Copperstone mine? Did they think they had exhausted the deposit? BZA found all the really good stuff below the pit.

We just ran out of gold. Drilled ALL OVER the place looking for more, nada! It was a great project, first gold for Cyprus as I understand. MK did the contract mining and we processed it. 130 employees total, maso meno.

Well, I'll tell you that BZA.TO has been stuck at bid C$.355, ask C$.36 almost all day today. 222k shares traded.

IMHO the stock may stall in this general area for a while until the share offering is completed and it gets digested by the market.

I've been exploring old gold and mercury mines up in northern arizona most of which were abandoned in the late 1800's. Pretty cool stuff. I'm in the process of buying a claim.
If you'll each send me $10,000 for expenses and what not I'll do some looking around and send you some gold if I find any.

Sure thing Buddy Boy. Let me sign Power of Attorney over to you. Should I send the cash to the Geneva Roth account in Switzerland or the one in the Caymans?

Actually, I have a freind who is leasing a claim sorta near Oatman. He is just really using it for a campsite. He once found a "nugget" worth about $84.00.

No, you don't understand. This is all legit. Just send the cash to my attorney's "We Cheatem &Howe"

It's very promising. I have a Minelab detector and have been digging up lots of old tin and bottle caps. It's just a matter of time.....

American Bonanza Gold Corp.: Technical Report Update

<!-- /.mod.related-companies -->Press Release Source: American Bonanza Gold Corp. On Tuesday December 21, 2010, 9:00 am

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 21, 2010) - American Bonanza Gold Corp. (TSX:BZA - News; "Bonanza" or the "Company") announces that further to its press release dated December 14, 2010 in connection with the review conducted by the British Columbia Securities Commission (the "BCSC") in respect of the Company's preliminary short form prospectus dated December 8, 2010, the Executive Director of the BCSC has issued a cease trading order to the Company until it remedies a deficiency in its technical report entitled "NI 43-101 Technical Feasibility Report, Copperstone Project, La Paz County, Arizona" (the Report). The Company is currently in the process of remedying this default and expects to file a new technical report shortly.

The Executive Director of the BCSC has made a determination that one of the authors of the Report was not independent at the time the Report was filed, which would not be in compliance with the requirements of National Instrument 43-101 for a technical report of this nature. The Executive Director of the BCSC has ordered that all trading in securities of the Company cease until the Company files an independent technical report on its Copperstone Gold Project and the Executive Director of the BCSC makes an order revoking the cease trade order.

Yup, might be a great buying opportunity coming up. I don't think they're questioning any of the data in the report, just who signed it.

But this may complicate the Private Placement that is scheduled to close in the next few days.

¶ 1 American Bonanza Gold Corp. (American Bonanza) is a mineral exploration and

development company with offices in Vancouver, British Columbia. American Bonanza

is a reporting issuer in British Columbia. Its securities are listed on the TSX Exchange.

¶ 2 In its news release dated February 3, 2010, American Bonanza disclosed the results of a

feasibility study that included first time disclosure of mineral reserves on its

Copperstone Gold Project. Copperstone is a property that is material to American

    Bonanza.

¶ 3 Under section 4.2 (1)(j) of National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for

Mineral Projects, American Bonanza was required to file, within 45 days of

February 3, 2010, an independent technical report that supported its disclosure of the

    mineral reserves.

¶ 4 On or about March 12, 2010, American Bonanza filed a technical report that purported

to be independent, but was not independent because American Bonanza had previously

granted options to purchase 500,000 common shares, exercisable at
    .09 per share, to

the author of the technical report.

¶ 5 Under section 164(1) of the Act, the Executive Director orders that all trading in the

securities of American Bonanza cease until:

    1. it files an independent technical report on its Copperstone Gold Project supporting

its disclosure, completed in accordance with the Act and the regulations, and

    2. the Executive Director makes an order under section 164 of the Act revoking this

    order.

WOOOOOW!!!! finished at .50, but still. what a tremendous movement.

god damn schwab ticker failed me again. It says no movement today!! What the heck, I definitely would have sold at least a few shares. these bastards cost me a lot of money today. I just sent them a really nasty email...No, seriously, these jerks cost me several grand today!! For some reason they list some of the PINK stocks on the TSX so then the ticker doesn't update them

I haven't been following the Pinks while BZA.TO has been suspended.

I guess the market rreally likes the news that they have re-filed the Technical Report, with no change in the data.

Looks like yesterday's spike was a fluke, today back to the "normal' range of 34 - 37 centavos.

that's the problem with the Pink Sh*ts, just a handful of trades every day, so even one overzealous (or ignorant) buyer (or seller) can totally distort the stock price

But I'm encouraged that the stock is still trading where it is, despite the overhang of the Technical Report technicality. It's where it was when they announced the pending stock offering.

that's just too odd. steady volume up to $1 t hen a MASSIVE sell off. I wonder if some guy had a GTC order from a while back? anyway, glad to see it's trading again. I'm very pissed that I didn't snag some profits yesterday though...what was the spread anyway though?

Hey guys, I'm catching up on a lot of stuff. I attended the Vancouver investment conference 10 days ago This is part of my own due diligence, to talk personally to corporate execs about the companies in which I invest. DYODD GLTA

I spoke for a good 30 minutes with Jim Bagwell, Bonanza's Corporate Communication Manager.

    Here are some takeaways:

The fiasco with the trading suspension and the BC Technical Report was a bunch of BS. Basically, at the time the guy wrote the report, he was an independent consultant. It was 8 months later when he became "non-independent." BZA's lawyers filed suit to block the suspension, but there was no appeal process with the BC regulators.

Anyway, that's over, the revised Report was released, and it showed no change in the resources and production plans, etc.

The share offering was well received and is now complete.

Development at the mine was not interrupted by the stock trading suspension. The mill they bought is on-site and under construction.

BZA is waiting for just one more water permit, and then it will be off to the races. The plan is to be in production within 6 months ("by August").

Thanks Optics, i knew the Copperstone grade was high, but not that high ranked. Do you have a link to the source of that list/

Another piece of news announced today by Bonanza. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Americ....html?x=0&.v=1

I'm still thinking once the final water permit is issued, Bonanza will launch. Should be any day now.

I also own #3 on the list, Kirkland Lake. They plan to triple production to 300,000 oz. in the next 3 years. IMHO they will be bought out well before then.

IMHO sky's the limit. Once this story gets out, it should move quickly. The key driver is the low cost, high-grade mine. At $1400 gold, the mine project has an unprecedented 170% IRR. The mine project will pay for itself in 6 months!

And with the big stock offering completed in January, the company is fully cashed up to get into production.

$1.00 should be no problem by the time they start production in August-September.

Not to mention a very low cash cost of about $415 an ounce.

And according to the guys at the company I have spoken to, they "haven't even drilled the good stuff yet." They really just scratched the surface (below the pit), so to speak. They stopped drilling only to get the mine into production ASAP. Once they get some cash flow coming in (tons of it), they will resume drilling and expand the resource.

    Goooo Bonanza!

Sorry as this is off topic phideaux.Take a look at CUU Copper Fox as a new resource estimate is due out this month and it could be huge. http://www.stockhouse.com/Blogs/View....aspx?p=113828 http://www.stockhouse.com/Bullboards...0&s=CUU&t=LIST DYODD as there is quite a good story with this stock and some good potential upside with lots of talk of a takeout price above $5

I don't follow copper too closely, but I do like Copper Fox. (Bud Fox mentioned it about a year ago).

Also Nevada Copper and VMS Ventures look like very promising projects.

Back on topic, I was impressed that Bonanza actually inched higher yesterday to 42 centavos, despite the big sell off in spot gold price.

Thank you very much to all, I feel really fortunate to be a member here and be privy to this stuff!

There was interesting trading on Friday. It hit a new 52-week high at 43 cents, on very heavy volume of 2.7 million shares. Late in the day, over a million shares in total (in 5 or 6 blocks) traded at 40 cents. Hopefully 40 cents is now the new floor.

Volume is the key, the fuel that propels stocks higher.

    Monday should be verrrrry interesting!
