Most of the value would be in the copper (not the zinc). If it's new stuff, why not re-sell it on eBay as it is still useful to someone, and therefore worth more than scrap value?Originally Posted by keepitlow
Brass can be anything from around 50%-85% copper or so, depending on what type of brass alloy it is. Recycling place will know best what to pay for it.

Just like real estate, it's all local. You can check here and see if anyone is close to you: http://realcent.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=71 The key is meeting the yards spec on the product to get the most for you product vs the time it takes to prep the product to meet that spec. Good luck!

If you're not desperate for the $, I'd be inclined to hold. Will be worth a lot more with time.
