i ordered twice from them...their product is really nice but their two month turnaround time is a real turn off.
i still like the original GIM better.

NTM would probably be the best producer out there if they could get rid of the wait time.

At the risk of beating a dead horse, I'll chime in too. Very good prices, great product, just too long of a wait to receive it.

I see they are still around. Maybe the best looking 10 ounce bars I have ever seen but the wait time like everyone else has said is just too long.

    I'm just going to say,

I'll bet NWTM [Ross Hansen] is extremely happy that the original GIM is gone, along with the long thread comprised of posts by dozens of unhappy NWTM customers.

Some of the best designs and products out there. Torture tactics in the 4 months they took to deliver the goods and clauses in their contracts to settle with a fiat alternative give them an eerily similar look like an ETF....if the world ever does see a serious shortage...I fear alot will get kicked to the curb as NWT seems to have an "Out" ....like a Bullion Bank Custodian has a "Prospectus".

Ditto, best looking product of its kind (imo). My wait was 'only' 30 days but it was worth it.

That being said their business model seems something that could be well improved on. Maybe because they do their own they have to make sure they are profitable with every lot. I had a major broker tell me that they pretty much mint to order. Still, I would think with some work, they could cut their time down. Price A+, Product A+, Delivery D-. Two out of three ain't bad but we pm'ers are a greedy bunch and being patient is not one of our strongsuits.

Edit: I was in the market for a buffalo and bought one the other day. Just for curiousity's sake I went over to NWT website for a cost thinking I'd overlooked a dealer (I do a lot of research before I buy) and was kind of taken aback at their pricing. Ok if you buy 5 or more (not likely in my case) so I go over to their 'store' and the prices are high compared to Apmex and Provident. Ok, but then they tag that waiting time in and I am thinking, who would go for that? Just stick to their house silver.

    Disclaimer:
I'm new to collecting bullion, and relied heavily on this board's dealer reviews to make my beginner's decisions. I wanted to just add my experiences for others in my position, as I often rely on the reviews of others for online purchases. I ordered from 4 different online sites and will rate all of them as they complete.

    Thanks,
    -KGMe

I placed 1 order with Northwest Territorial Mint (NWTM). Late on a Sunday night I ordered 20 Stagecoach 1 oz. Silver Bars. I paid a premium for these over basic generic bars (about $1.50 more per oz. than the generic APMEX stuff). I was willing to pay a little more, just because I love the design. Ordering was very simple, and while shipping was more expensive than other sites ($30 for any order over $400), there was no charge to use a credit card. Points baby! Anyway, the shipping cost was similar to the shipping + processing charges elsewhere.

I got an immediate confirmation email with an estimated shipping date of about 20 days out. I kind of expected this based on reviews here about how slow they are. I admit I was shocked when the following Friday (5 business days later) I received a shipping confirmation with tracking number. The package arrived (with enough tape to build a battle cruiser) the following Monday. Wrapped in a 2 inch layer of bubble wrap, the silver arrived in perfect sheets of 10.

Exactly 8 days after my order was placed, the bars were in my hands. I was honestly shocked. I researched a little more, and found a group-buy thread where people talked about buying from NWTM. Apparently if you have a large enough order, you can get a better deal speaking with someone directly, but you will have to wait a longer period for shipment. Ordering via the website means paying a premium, but getting expedited service.

Overall, I am very happy with the entire ordering process at NWTM. I absolutely love the Stagecoach Silver Bars, and will definitely order more (and some of the divisible rounds). The shipping is higher, but if you are using a credit card, the lack of fees make up for it. They have some great looking bars (Pan American look great), but because of the higher premium I will likely never buy anything more than Stagecoach units. Their uniqueness make the premium worth it, while the other bars are nice, they are just not worth the higher price to me.

I am giving 4 stars to NWTM, only because of the added premium over other vendors. If they were within $0.50 of the other vendors I've used I would likely purchase most of my silver bars and rounds through them, instead of just the Stagecoach.

    UPDATE:
Well, I just checked, and they are $1.17 over Provident's Silvertowne (which I hate), and $0.16 over all the APMEX generics. Looks like I'll have to give them a 5 and start purchasing bars from them more regularly! Maybe not every order, but they will definitely be in my current top 2 vendors for 1 oz silver. A small premium is OK to me, since the product really is much nicer to me. Almost $2 was not.

I confirm that the quality of the silver products that NWTM produces is very high, perhaps second to none. I bought a hundred ozt Ag bar and 50 1 ozt Ag rounds from them in 2008, and 6 ozt Pamp Suisse gold bars. That was a large order for me. There was no charge for shipping back then, so I'm surprised to hear that that they are charging for shipping now. It took them 6 weeks to ship, and I was on pins and needles the whole time. The quality of the product does not outweigh the excruciatingly slow shipping, IMO. As a result, I will never order from them again.

All went well, sort of.I was hoping to purchase some of their Stagecoach coins, but there was nothing availble.I was introduced to Roger Renken of the bullion Dept of NWTM who had recently returned from an Industry trade show and he said that "normally we return with some inventory, but this year,we got nothing. In fact all of the vendors there sold out of their stock".Roger noticed my dissapointment and said I would not have to leave empty handed. He gave a price of 27.9 on their bullion melt rounds plus a discount of .20 per coin out the door cash.
I bought 10.Nice old Ironsides trade rounds.I will do buisness again with NWTM for sure.Wait time for delivery is due to demand.KGMe,you were the exception, not the rule

Had two buys from them, first when silver got slammed from 20 to 9s a few years back, I wanted some so I took the chance, they told me up front delivery was 3 months out, I got it in 10 weeks, a bit early, last buy was two of the Stillwater Palladium packs of the 1/10th rounds, bought two paid by CC got them in no time. I have no complaints as they were up front about everything, not to say there was a bit of anxiety on the first one.
