Is the KEY statement in that figure, " Feds holding of Treasury securities AS A PERCENTAGE OF FEDERAL DEBT"?

I would assume that the reason it looks small is because it is compared to a larger number than previous.

EO, can you elaborate on the Offshore and Fed Stockholder statement? I appreciate the response.

    This.

    Plus this:
May all living beings have happiness and the causes of happiness; May all living beings be free from misery and the causes of misery; May all living beings never be separated from boundless joy; May all living beings abide in equanimity free from grasping and aversion.

IMO, everyone is missing the point.

The article is talking about the total of outstanding US gooberment debt.

We keep hearing that they are buying 40% [or more] of current monthly debt auctions.

This is % of outstanding debt versus % of last auction or last couple years auctions.
*Disclosure: long physical gold, silver and mining shares

What happened is the debt is ballooning by such a great amount that even with the large increase in fed treasury buying they still have not been able to keep up with their percent stake in the total debt. They have to buy more.

deadharry - it's my opinion that the fed is a network of central banks, publicly traded banks, hedge funds, private equity, heads of state, etc. so there are tons of treasury bond holdings not being counted in their graph.
