Got mine today. Trying to decide if I want to get it slabbed.
I missed the UPS guy yesterday, but thankfully I was running late today and heard the doorbell this morning when I turned the shower off. The driver took a step back when I answered the door dripping wet partially clothed with a smile from ear to ear.

Did he smile back?

LOL no, he looked nervous actually. Of course the fact I didn't have a shirt on and my shoulders are quite bruised (had to 'catch' a 300+ pound arcade machine this weekend) may have something to do with it.

I just got my "P" puck today. I've had MS 68 DMPL's and I like this look much better. To me, the puck looks perfect, but I'm not going to have it graded because I don't want slabbed pucks. The Mint series are going to be my keepers and I'll be flipping the Dillon Gage and Apmex sets which are due in the next couple of days.
I recieved my Hot Springs coin yesterday. On the face with geo wash, the "One quarter dollar" seems to be half impressed. the small shield emblem on the reverse side seems to have scratches on it as well, does anyone else's look this way? also there seems to be very small stress looking cracks around the "HOT SPRINGS" lettering.
Got an email 5-11 from mint saying they shipped 5-12 it was at my door, amazing since my original order said back ordered.
Well my mint coin showed up yesterday. No rim nicks, hairline cracks under 10x; looks perfect to me, but I'm not a grader nor do I plan to slab the P's anyway. BUT I also received my Dillon bullion set yesterday. I opened the box and was blown away by the polish on them. I think the mint really blew it here (mho). It's not that I don't like the satin finish on the P's, but I think the polish on the bullion is stunning by comparison. Next to arrive is the Apmex set.
If I show off any of them, it'll be the bullion that I'll show. People like shiny things.![]()

Did you miss out on getting a 2010 Hot Springs P coin? Maybe you want another? MCM now has graded ones. Just got the email, they are selling NGC graded SP69's & SP70's. Apparently SP is the grading designation for the numi version.

Who is going to shell out about $56 per ounce to get the Yellowstone on Tuesday (279.95)?

I'm going to shell it out. I might have my sister get me a second one, but at that price its a little crazy. If the 2010s are going to be a key date then 2 is better than one.

I'm right there with you "graspAU" and "AU+AG=Beacon"; I really like the "P" version. I'll wait an hour or so before I try, I not going to drive myself crazy right at Noon. Good luck to everyone that will purchase on Tuesday.
29K pieces.
Get one.
Just got my Hot Springs puck today and I must say it is really nice. No nicks, dings or scratches so I am very pleased, only wish it is a bit more FRN friendly.
There's a little shield type thing on the reverse that has some scratches in it on mine, other that that it looks perfect. On the COA it says legal tender of the united states but it does'nt have an amount on it like all other legal tender coins, I wonder what that amount is suppose to be. Count me in on the Yellowstone it cost more than ugly silver but just like fine jewelry its worth lt.
those scratches actually look like some kind of design?
Great pics.
No, the shield looks just like it should. I think it's supposed to be a pine tree in the foreground and a Mountain in the background. Someone from work got their coin on Thursday and I pulled my 10x loop out to take a look. We both initially thought there were scratches on the shield part. But the shield on his coin looks exactly like yours.
UPS tried to deliver my "p" coin for the third time today. I would have been home to accept it, but no, I had to accompany my wife and kids to the neighborhood "play group" instead. The damn mint set up their UPS deliveries such that you cannot call UPS and change the delivery address. By the looks of your pics, as well as my buddy from work's coin, the coin is worth the wait. I see one on ebay in BIN for $425. These will go up in the coming years.

My HS "P" was shipped yesterday and is suppose to be delivered on Monday. I plan on ordering the Yellowstone Tuesday.
Wow you should all get out more often...these resepresent the National Parks...and yes they are real but they only exist outside.
Just Kidding...

lol thanks for the pic that clears it up quite obviously.
also from my pics you might see my coin is not perfect, there are some small white spots that are on geo wash's face (not sure what they are) as well as the "QUARTER DOLLAR" on the bottom seems to be either worn down a bit or the die did not make the impression it should have. there are very small stress cracks around the hot springs lettering as well, other than that it would appear flawless
I noticed the white spots too. Not sure how to do the process but I have heard a lot about acetone dips for similar concerns. I am pretty happy with my P coin. One minor mark on George's eyebrow but otherwise perfect. I think I am done buying (bullion and P versions) but am really interested in the P Yosemite as we took the family to visit last month for the first time.

With the past history of milk spots on the Silver Eagles I would get that coin into an acetone dip ASAP...it removes a lot of crud, smudges and fingerprints. It will NOT remove milk spots but it should take care of those spots if they are just Mint crud. Note: acetone is not benign stuff...it's very flammable and not great to have absorbed through your skin...do a Google search on acetone coin dipping...It does work though.
Why is this thread so quiet? Hmmmmm...tuesday.....can't seem to remember.
...brain trying to decide when to click and buy 20 bullion pucks...
I was sort'a hoping that the mint would drop the price on the coming yellowstone "P" with spot headed to $30 like a hell bent snowball but I no tink dey will. De premi didn't seem too bad on the hot springs but $24 x 5 = $120 premi is beginning to get into original ApeX territory. That is almost double spot. I'm beginning to have second thots about collecting the ATB "P" versions.
I don't think there will be a major rush to order this time around but I'm sure I will.
Well, Modern Coin Mart has the Hot Springs P marked at $379 in Mint Original Packaging. 100 buckerooo's more.
Hot Springs P SP70 marked at $679.

The mint just accepted my order for a second hot springs coin, they would not do so untill this evening.
The mint accepted my second order, 8 days after they went on sale, and before there was a waiting list. They cancelled me 3 days later. But I hope you get it. Maybe they'll allow a second since it's a waiting list.

Maybe if the coin was a tad bigger, say 8 feet in diameter, it would show the same detail as the pic above. Kinda hard to replicate when you are "only" making a 3 1/2 inch coin.Wow thats what that is suppose to be it would have been better left smooth, then slapping some chicken scratches all over it.
Just an FYI: on the Gettysburg there is a monument with all sorts of marks on it.....they are not marks....they represent writing on the monument
Well, that order was much easier than the first coin. I guess when the prices are close to double spot the demand dwindles?

20 minutes online to get NP2.

Got mine, had to go to a friend's house to get it though, dial-up here wasn't cutting it.
The next coin is up. Painless purchase, well, almost - $50+ per ounce. Puts you in a special club of 27,000.
Hey Oldmansmith, how did you do on your Apm3x package? Go to the other thread and post your booty. So I can update the list.
