Default Open question for Apmex about 2012 Lunar

When the 2012 Dragons are about to appear, howsabout giving us a heads up here at your favorite site (not brown nosing, much) and letting us get a jump?

My intuition is telling me the coins will get gone, fast.

Edit: I just checked my old orders at Apmex and found that I bought my 2011 Rabbits in September of 2010. Based on that, the Dragons will be out in a few months. Hope there isn't some insane silver spike in progress at the time.

Isn't there no issue limit on some sizes? So they will mint until years end?

The only reason the 2000s are rare is that there wasn't much of a market back then?

I believe there are more dragons than any other Series 1 lunar - they aren't rare compared to other lunars, but compared to maples or SAEs they are.

No, they have a max mint limit. If you go to Apmex and look for the 1 oz Rabbit (2011), you will see this
"The 2011 1 oz Silver Rabbit sold out on February 13th, 2011. That's 7 months quicker than the 2010 year of the Tiger which, by comparison, sold out on September 14th, 2010. Due to the huge demand for Silver and other Precious Metals around the world, the 300,000 maximum mintage sold out much faster than any other of the wildly popular Lunar Coins."

I'll bet the Dragon sells out 2 months earlier.

If you are an investor, I can't think of a better investment than the coming Dragon coin.

For anyone looking to collect a coin that has a guaranteed rise in numismatic value, TomD has done a great service by starting this thread. Various dragon coins that sell at auctions command crazy premiums and the new Perth issue is a NO BRAINER. The NO BRAINER of NO BRAINERS....I have posted several auctions on the site where different silver dragon coins sell for $500-700 an ounce!

For real though, buy dragons if you want a sure thing.

Love the dragons. Can't wait to buy the 2012s. Totally a sure thing.
