Have you read articles suggesting that you stick your FRNs inside a microwave to kill the magnetic strip? I suggest you don't do it.
I tried this today and turned $80 in FRNs into an exploding fireball.

Pretty expensive experiment.
I thought the idea was to lay the FRN's on a plate with water.

I hadn't heard about that one. I'm done performing experiments.I thought the idea was to lay the FRN's on a plate with water.
How about if you try it and let me know how it turns out?
Why would you want to kill the magnetic strip? Seriously?

Surprised this isn't on the national news, then again, maybe I shouldn't be surprised that it is suppressed.

Well, I can view the incentive for the goob to encourage more people to do this throughout the coming months. Such action would certainly reduce the ridiculous amount of FRN's that have been printed previously.
What a gimmick.

I had heard that it is relatively easy to remove the magnetic strip from bills via a steady hand and a safety pin. Of course, I would never try such a thing but I believe there are YouTube videos about said subject.![]()
