The myth here is that income disparity in and of itself is a bad thing. What's truly evil is the wealth destruction that results from erosion of property rights and / including the centrifugal effect of fiat moneyprinting.
Everybody should have the opportunity to make themselves wealthy by creating or working toward something of value.
This matter has been addressed very diligently by Austrian economists.
