Yeah I'm all for it {even in my own back yard } if it's done right! This is one of the keys to getting America offin that foreign oil teet ...fwiw ...Goldeeze is down a bit tonight oh well back to the pool ....

We signed with a land owners group. Several signed on with Wish-gard or some such outfit that only offered pennies compared to getting in a group. Oh well, that pool idea sounds good, but cooled off here due to much needed rain. Maybe the beans and corn will survive after all. The beans out in front of the house look good, but behind where they should be.

.20 to .30 higher, barley sold .20 to .25 lower, oats sold
steady to .05 lower, and soybeans sold .50 to .60 higher.
Ear corn sold steady to 3.00 higher.
All prices per bushel except ear corn is per ton.

We're in Ohio, eastern half, but south of Columbus.

Wheat coming off now, what little there was in this year.

I ride all over the area on a motorcycle, especially the farming areas and pay attention to crops grown locally. While I'm retired, a local farmer cash rents my usable farm land, little that there is of it, and this year he planted beans. Last year it was wheat and beens. Don't know if he plans any corn on my land again, as the type of soil I have doesn't seem to be the best for corn.

I also look to see where there are gas and oil wells, make a mental note of things like that too.

As a point of interest, there is also gold in the streams around here. If it ever gets to $10k an oz. HA, I'll be in a creek somewhere around here. I might be a hundred by then and no longer able to lift a shovel.

Short term, sure looks like it. But we have to remember, there is a group of folks who, one, don't like the rising dollar, and two, have the power to stop it from doing so. On the other hand, with nearly 4 years of ZIRP and two rounds of QE, they are oh fer two. One can't help but think they've moved off the plate, and are knocking dirt off their cleats. Strike three and they're out. They know it. It wouldn't shock me to see Benny firing up the helicopter and making a few passes around the stands. His whole shebang revolves around not letting deflation occur, and printing to prevent it. Ironic he is where he is, and when he is. Or perhaps it's not ironic at all.
