I'd like to add that if this does not work out as a sell-off, remember the old addage: "From a failed move comes a fast move." If commodities cannot correct here, imo, they will shoot much higher as all the pros line up to cover their shorts and everybody else lines up to grab a ride. jmho

We really can't know until we get those signals; to jump in ahead of signals is extremely high risk. Traders get ruined by commodities all the time so best have a plan and stick to it. Good luck, all.

Markets are driven by the perception, or the common understanding of fundamentals, not actually by the fundamentals themselves although of course there is a strong if delayed link. If it where not so there would never be any opportunity as pricing would always be perfect and we know this is not the case. Price patterns reflect the markets perception of the fundamentals and as such are a good view into what the market believes, which in the near term is what sets price.

You can't just make blanket statements like that, it is not that simple... we are dealing with humans after all!

An Interpretation of the China Silver Short Theory and Fractional Reserve Bullion

I have had quite a few readers ask for clarifications on this story, Is JPM Covering Up a Naked Silver Short Held by China as a Claim Against the Yanks? The story offers one possible explanation for the overly large and quite possibly undeliverable short position at the Comex.

This is my interpretation of the China silver short theory as expressed by others, but especially the respected analyst Harvey Organ. As you may recall, Harvey was the trader who helped to identify the notable lack of actual bullion in the vaults of Scotia Mocatta, causing a minor scandal. There have also been other claims of a significant leverage or 'fractional reserve selling' in the physical bullion markets, with a circumstantial evidence of a potential 100 to 1 leverage involving unallocated bars and claims of cross ownership of bullion held by some of the large ETFs......

But my dear fellow you are indulging in trial by media, don't you trust your legal system to get it right? How do you know the truth of the matter? Is he a rapist or is he an easy target? I don't know anything about it BUT surely you should be protesting the systems short comings.... after all we must assume innocence until proof beyond reasonable doubt. Imagine being on the other side of a well publicized false charge, no matter your innocence two things will happen.... 1. You will be guilty in many peoples minds no matter the outcome. 2. If there is money to be had you will become a target for similar future claims. Soft target or scum bag rapist? I ask myself why a man in such a position would need to rape, I find myself short of any practical reason... there are plenty of women who would find any football star attractive, failing that he can pay for what ever weirdness he wants... hmmmmmm... failing that it must be in his psychology. Open interest remains high in gold and silver/Russia increases official gold reserves to 790 tonnes/brent sea price advances over 9.0 dollars over WTI

.....The bankers huddled this afternoon and they decided that a raid needed to be called upon. The attacked gold and silver in the access market where the counterparties are few in number.
Right now gold is trading at $ 1333.60 down a full 11.00 from today's comex closing. Silver is trading at $26.87 down another 51 cents........
.....something serious is going on inside this comex vaults. Today we had zero activity on every front: no withdrawals , no deposits, and no deliveries.and we have first day notice next Tuesday????? This is totally unprecedented in comex history!!......

USDX is on the canvas and can't get up... yet... was looking for a quick move to 80 to mark golds low... so far nada, tried last session but closed below support. I have been expecting 1300 test, failing that support in the mid 1320's... we got that, looks like we are in for a bounce, short term at least. $64 question here is can the USDX manage a little bounce. HUI is very close to a bottom IMO... it will be trading ahead of gold IMO.
