Could be ... cause we are fast approaching a breakout point of a kinda no return ...(new level) ... we either break out or we don't and we regroup for another attack...I'm not saying markets don't ebb n flow or go up and down but we be close to pay dirt ...jm2c ...fwiw

Sorry Hawk I can't provide any expert advice but it seems your operating system can't cope with the new version of the charting software.
so, possible to reverse update version?

Sounds to me that your HDD is dying; that error is the index file for the HDD location of the charting software; maybe bad/crosslinked sectors; stop and restart the Windows indexing service to see if it helps; looks to me that you are on WinXP, so go to Control Panel/Administrative/services

An Interesting Theory on Silver for Volatile Times in Desperate Economic Conditions

While anything is possible with silver - I dont think we will see that deep of a correction. The correction in 2008 was a MAJOR TWO correction. The one we are in is a wave 2 of MAJOR THREE correction (not as severe). I think $30ish will be the bottom of this, but, we rally from here to the low/mid 40's first and then a second correction down to about $30ish. That would complete wave 2 of MAJOR THREE.

The run up was a set up by JPM. Low 20's is where silver will return. I've sold many thousands of ounces from $25-45. I'm not a Buyer unless the price drops to the low $20's. Silver doesn't have the same fundamentals as gold. I believe Sinclair when he called it a game. I'd like to see silver hit $200 next week, but I think it's finished it's run for now.

30 years ago, Bunker Hunt, while trying to demand delivery for virtually every single silver bar in existence, and getting caught in the middle of a series of margin hikes (sound familiar), accused the Comex (as well as the CFTC and the CBOT) of changing the rules in the middle of the game (and ws not too happy about it). Whether or not this allegation is valid is open to debate. We do know that "testimony would reveal that nine of the 23 Comex board members held short contracts on 38,000,000 ounces of silver. With their 1.88 billion dollar collective interest in having the price go down, it is easy to see why Bunker did not view them as objective." One wonders how many short positions current Comex board members have on now. Yet by dint of being a monopoly, the Comex had and has free reign to do as it pleases: after all, where can futures investors go? Nowhere... at least until now. In precisely 9 days, on May 18, the Hong Kong Mercantile exchange will finally offer an alternative to the Comex and its alleged attempts at perpetual precious metals manipulation.

just for those with bad eyes like me... to enlarge the charts (and the fonts) on your screen, there's an easy trick:

Hold down:
-"Control" button
-"Space" bar

Then hit the + button as many times as you need... each hit on "+" increases the writing & charts on the screen. oh, and if it's too large to fit your screen, the "-" button does the same trick in reverse.

Gold is looking OK on the 4hr and silver is perking up a little. Some strength here in the next couple of sessions and it looks to me like we might have the ---> dare I say it ---> bottom. FWIW copper is also looking done and ready to go again, same for the HUI... it has to be close OR we are going down for the count big time! I don't buy that ATM +++++ everyone is a fricken commodities bear all of a sudden!!!! You know they all took off right around this time last year.... hmmmmmm... again? Mebe.

I scaled in the miners last week, except Friday (missed the lowest day of course). Almost pulled the blanket over the corpse but yes, a very weak pulse today. Need asia to crank it up tonight and get those indicators to finally curl up. It sure did look more promising this morning but we all knew it would fade. The splash of green looks good for now.

It just feels near a bottom... or we are going to break to new lows. However Gold doesn't look THAT weak!

I have a definite peak in STO with a cross down on the USDX daily. I guess we could setup a divergence but the USDX looks near term bearish to me.
