    embarrassing it is to have this as our President and first lady! But I guess, when you've
    never done the pledge allegiance, you don't know what to do! Maybe
    it's the Muslim way.
    At first I thought the picture was reversed, but the wedding rings
    indicate that it's right, as do the buttons on his suit.

    I am so embarrassed to know that this is our President. What have they done to us?
    How could someone vote for him? He is our President until November 2012!

    Ahhh. Here we go.

    Barack and Michelle Obama's Left-Handed Flag Salute

    The picture above is a cropped mirror-image of one taken during the commemoration of 9/11 victims held on the South Lawn of the White House on September 11, 2009. The manipulated version boasts Photoshopped wedding bands and reversed jacket buttons to make it appear as though the image hasn't been tinkered with. The ruse is spoiled by the medals on the uniform of the Marine standing in soft focus behind the President, however they're on the wrong side of his chest!

    Flipped, the doctored image is a near-perfect match for a press photo published on Newsday.com which, along with several other photos taken on the occasion, clearly shows the President and Mrs. Obama saluting properly with their right hands over their hearts.

    (A similar hoax was created in 2002 purporting to show Sen. Tom Daschle saying the Pledge with his left hand over his heart.)

    I don't say the pledge, as I don't believe it. Most people simply mindlessly repeat the words without thinking about what they really mean.

    For example, "one nation, indivisible"......that was put in there to remind Southerners that once you join the Union, you can't leave.

    Yet, that is in direct conflict with the Declaration of Independence.

    When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.


    If one REALLY means "the pledge", then, by extension, the US has no right to exist.....we are still part of Great Britain. You simply can't believe in "the pledge" and the DOI at the same time, since they espouse completely different points of view.

    Agree with what Not Sure said, with all the sh1t Obama has done the least of my worries is that he doesn't know which hand to put on his chest for the pledge of allegiance, even if it was true.
