With Markie Sanchez, it'll be an even stranger three-some. The Jets just gave Sanchez a huge new contract.

Oh Sanchez is done. Can you imagine? The very first INT he throws and they'll be calling for his head on every morning talk show across NY. The NY media is ruthless. They very well may be looking to just have Tebow as a package QB, but I don't see it happening. Sanchez would have to play lights out (dont see that happening) or it will just be a media circus.

There has to be a player to be named later.

That is the best they could do?

Barring injury Tebow will be putting people in the stands for another 14 years, manning is done

The New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars are now in discussions with the Denver Broncos about a potential trade for quarterback Tim Tebow, league sources told NFL Network's Michael Lombardi on Wednesday.

    Debate: Tebowmania, anyone?

With Peyton Manning in Denver, Tim Tebow is on the trading block. Would you want him on your roster? Let's debate! More ...

The Jets had previously announced that they had agreed with the Broncos on a trade, but the deal hit a snag when it came to the Broncos' desire to recoup more than $5 million that they had paid in Tebow's original rookie contract.

The brother of Tim Tebow says he thinks the snag has the talks "almost back to square one."

Playing at a pro-am golf tournament at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, Fla., Robby Tebow said Wednesday that he and the Denver Broncos quarterback thought a trade to the Jets was a done deal.

"Like he was signed, sealed and delivered," he said. "Apparently, they didn't read the fine print."

Shortly after news of the would-be deal broke, Robby Tebow's phone started buzzing. Tebow Time on Broadway? Well, not quite yet.

"They're working on it," Robby Tebow said. "I think the Jags are back in play. We're almost back to square one."

Jaguars spokesman Dan Edwards declined comment.

"We want to go where somebody wants him -- that's where he wants to be," Robby Tebow said. "We'll figure it out. They're working on the contract; all those guys doing what they're paid to do."

As part of Tebow's $11.25 million, five-year contract he signed as a rookie in 2010, he had a $6.277 million advance due 29 days after the start of the 2011 league year. That money was paid to him in August after the NFL lockout ended. The trade hit the hang-up when the Jets apparently balked at repaying the Broncos more than $5 million for the 2012-14 seasons from that advance.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

JMO but I think the Jags are nuts if they don't do a deal for him. I get all the arguments that you have to tailor make your offense, he could be a potential injury risk, sets back your 1st round QB you drafted, etc. That's all true. However, Jacksonville has struggled to develop their fan base. Tim Tebow, especially in Florida, will put butts in the seats and sell tons of Jerseys. I don't see how in the world they could afford to ignore that and its not like they would have to make the same kind of drastic changes most clubs would have to do to accomodate him. They have a good defense. They have a much better run game than Denver IMO and a Head coach that likes to run the ball and control the clock. Maybe I'm missing something

The Jets GM is among the worst in football.

Sanchez is one of the highest paid QB's in the NFL, ranking just behind Peyton, Brady & Vick.

They thought they could handle Santonio's antics and gave him a contract they can't afford to terminate. The lockeroom is utterly dysfunctional.

The one-night stand with Plax has turned out to be just that.

    Now the Tebow nonsense.

This team is headed for the bottom of the heap, real fast.

while the Jets may not have a winning season this year, Tebow-mania will put people in the seats

Sanchez has got to know he's gonna be on a short lease to start the season

The Jets have never had problems selling seats. 20 million people live within a 2 hour drive of the swamplands of North Jersey.

the only reason that seems to make sense for not getting him is that the want to move the team.......
