After you get a minimum number of posts under your belt a thank you button will appear on the bottom left corner of another persons post.
You can then click that and thank them.

Click on the "Thanks" icon (lower left) if it is showing (you can only thank someone when the "Thanks" is showing). If you are very new, you may have to make a few posts of your own before it will show up, I don't know.Originally Posted by Favorite
And it goes away if you use it too much. I don't know the criteria but I know when I have thanked a lot of people in a short amount of time, mine has disappeared for a while.
