Default Krugerrand, a cool gift idea

On Ebay are many many auctions for 1 Oz gold Krugerrands (copy). They sure look good.

For about the same price with shipping, why not give the real deal as a gift.

I would lose face if I gave out one of those faux Krugs.

On the other hand, every woman I've ever shown those Turkish 1g chips to thinks they are "so cute".

I'd rather receive a real 1/10 krug than a plated ouncer.

Please don't buy the copy, these people make a living off of tricking people that the copies have some inherent value, which they don't. If enough people stop buying their junk, hopefully they will quit clogging the listings with it. It's nearly impossible to find good deals amidst all of the fake plated crap that gets posted.

ditto. Those things are trash and are made in china for about 20 cents.

Nah; they have real value, in that nice stack in my sock drawer. And when the crack heads break into the crib....a quick score, bolt out the door.

I gave away a bunch of fake 1,000,000 dollar bills. Kids love this kind of stuff on their birthdays. The younger ones think they are rich and run off to show thier fortune to their parents. It's a hoot!!!!
