here you go:

it will be something on your end ie the bookmark,
please try clearing your old bookmark after logging out,
clear your browser history of gim stuff,
restart your browser,
find gim and login,
and all should be aok,
S
no, you have to get rid of the old bookmark also,
we changed main servers a year ago, and the log for that is different,
or,
make sure to check the 'remember me' box under your nic

Thanks Scorp... That seems to have corrected the issue. I logged out and back in and did not get the error message.
I spoke too soon. I left and came back and the same issue!

You have to log out,
then clear your bookmark
then clear your gim cookies, any and all of them,
then restart your web browser,
then find gim,
then login,
and that should do it, if not, it is beyond my pay grade and someone here might be able to help you,
that worked for a bunch of us to get the thing to work proper after the upgrade,
and I have done that on multiple computers with no issues,
??????
in addition, the proper bookmark would be:
http://www.goldismoney2.com/forum.php
note how the example above says: http://goldismoney2.com and not www.goldismoney2.com
All I did was clear cache and error message went away.
I'm done, It's on!
If I did all that you say to do Scorpio, than I would be afraid that GIM would end up on the bottom of my favorites list, which would be way down there as I have an old computer and many people in the house use it. I can't use the remember me. At this time, I only have to scroll down a roll of the mouse wheel 1 time. Is there a way to organize my favorites and get the important one to the top? If not, I prefer to keep going to the redirect.
Thanks BTW for the website and sharing your knowledge and thoughts. Much appreciated.![]()

Hi Hammer,
I fiddle with my bookmarks all the time, moving them up and down to where I need them,
What browser to view the web are you using?
I use Mozilla Firefox, and I can just click and drag bookmarks/favorites up or down?
Please advise,
Scorp

fwiw,
thanks guys, as I didn't realize that so many were still having issues with that stuff,
keep 'er coming and maybe we can get this resolved together,
lot of guys here are more tech savvy than I am

It seems to be that if I maintain strict hygiene about logging out of GIM every time (rather than just navigating away), then I don't get the error message.
But my login also seems to go away if I leave GIM open but work in another browser window to do research about the post that I am working on.
I am not sure whether that automatic logout is due to:
1) My working in another browser window (might make the browser that GIM is open in "inactive" or something...
or
2) Maybe the sheer amount of time that it takes me (over 20 minutes or more) causes a timeout.
I also get logged out or timed out if I wander away from the machine for too long, particularly if the computer goes into sleep mode.
I end up in multiple browsers because my monitor setup looks like this:
Enabling screen views like this. It's really great for doing research.
-----------------
In any case, I just have to log in, get the error message, and log in again, which is really only a minor thing. Or if I've timed out in the middle of working on a post and cannot upload an image, I just have to copy it all to clipboard, go re-login, and then paste into a new reply and finish faster this time.
GIM has never lost the post that I'd spent time constructing, which would be a real aggravation.

Oops, spoke too soon.
This time I logged out of GIM and closed the tab (strict logout hygiene).
Went to browser window 2 to research chicken tractors. Remembered that someone had posted pics of an awesome chicken tractor design on GIM.
Back to browser window 1. Opened up a new tab and tried to log in to GIM. Got that redirect error message again. ??? So logged in a second time as usual.
I'm using google chrome. I usually use LastPass for password management, but I get the error message whether I use LastPass or not.

Hi Ralleia.
This is all too funny. One thing leading to another.
I had tried to comment on one of your post in the thread about where it doesn't pay to go to work. I hunt and peck keys, but I also like to be as clear in conveying what I am thinking and try to type as grameticl, no wait gremetically, no will try again, grametically oh darn, I mean spell right and have puncuation and stuff. So by the time I finished typing (20 minutes at least, maybe longer) and hit the submit button, got the log in. Did that and came up with white screen. Haven't seen it up either. Considered revising and to save time, not using the space bar, but hadn't had much time for that. Also didn't know if you would still be monitoring same thread. Will try to post it again in that thread. Look for it a little later if you like. Going out for ice cream with grand kids. will be back in hour or so.
Don't worry. It's isn't all about a solicitation to sell you siding.![]()

@Scorp
I was using this url http://www.goldismoney2.com/forum.php since the beginning and was getting the redirect 'fail' every time. I would just click forums and all was OK.
Then I changed my bookmark to http://www.goldismoney2.com/login.php?do=login and haven't had the problem since.
Plus if you are always shuffling your bookmarks try the "Fast Dial" add on. I have been using it for years now, and would be lost without it.
@ralleia
Be sure that you click in the "remember me" button when logging in. That might solve your problem of timinmg out.
Hi Scorpio,
Finally found the time to delete cookies, history and bookmark. Was surprised how few cookies there were for GIM. First time logging back in and went direct to forum. So far, so good. Gonna mess around with it a little more. Re-boot, try remember me and see if I still have to log in. If that is possible, maybe it will take care of the log out as Mayhem suggested. If not, that will be my next puzzle to solve. And of course, put GIM2 at the top of the list again, even though it is in drop down now. Will report back with findings. Thanks again.
