What's the gold content? What does 500 Kurush 1327/4 mean?
Tinbox (05-02-2012)
500 stands for value and it has 36grams of 22k gold. 1327/ year 4 and KM758 is a serial number I guess. They sell for +3000$ on ebay and I am willing to let them go for the best price you can ever get them, except if you dig them out of somewhere=). I have 5 of them all together and I would like to sell them all together if possible, if not I ll sell one by one.
1327/4 is the date based on the Islamic calendar. It approximates 1909 A.D. I believe the 4 is the month on their calendar.
What price is that?I am willing to let them go for the best price you can ever get them
Silver is my money for today, gold is the insurance for my tomorrow, and FRN's are simply the compost I use to grow it all.
I am selling one for 1700€ = 2235$. The cheapest one sold online costed 1750 GBP which is 2850$.
Kind of expensive, not exactly very low mintage ... Numismaster calls it ~$1450 in the quality from the picture - they may be a tad on the low side, but not by a lot. Beautiful coin, mind you ... 4th year of the reign of Muhammad V, so the date is 1912. I think the ones you have seen sold for $2800+ are their bigger brothers, from 1915 to 1918 (AH1327/7 thru AH1327/10), which are also denominated as 500 Kurush, but are 1.0637 oz. AGW ...

My coin is worth 1690$ in bulk gold only. And they sell for 3000$ and on other websites where you can see how much they actually sold for, the cheapest one was sold for 2800$. These are few links of exact same coin selling for over 3000$

I'd try EBay if I were you.![]()

Yes I know I should, and that is the best thing for me to do, but I dont have a credit card so it is a little bit difficult for me to list it on eBay. I am quite sure I would get at least 2300$ for them on Ebay, and I think even the person that buys them for this much will be able to make some profit. I have 5 of them and I would let them go all 5 for 10.000$ which is the cheapest if you look at the chart that someone posted. Actually I have another 15 of them sitting buried underground waiting for my lazy ass and I want to sell them all together if possible. Anyways thanks for all the answers and if someone is interested in buying them I will be more then glad to finish the deal=))
Hey 2fast, Sandro is a long time respected member here with a great track record. You however, bop in hawking gold in your first post! We here don't know you from Adam AND, we likely DON'T trust Adam. Get the picture??

So what if he is long time respected member, I am supposed to be okay with someone trying to discredit me for no reason? Every time I tried to sell something at a good price (meaning good for me but even better for the buyer) someone would hijack my sale with something dumb...I came at this site because I reckon that people here appreciate old coins and collectibles, and I wanted to offer the community some rare coins at the cheapest price and yet (at least I didnt see it sell for cheaper) he accused me of stealing, which btw is a big deal to me. Anyways if you dont trust me, pass on dude, I am not forcing you to stop on this thread and buy something from me. And if I dont sell few of these on this site, then so be it, there are other places like few members suggested its just gonna take me a day or two longer. And I am sure anyone who gets them will be glad he did so. Peace![]()
Nope, You don't get the picture. Try Craigs List.![]()

Are you willing to ship the coin first, and receive payment when the coin is delivered? If your willing to do that, I'm sure you will get a sale no problem here.
i dont think any stacker would pay spot for those coins...
not worth the hassle maybe 2-3% under spot minimum, most likely no buyers...
