Trouble Posting Videos

Since the recent updates and modifications, I've not been able to successfully use the "Insert Video" tool. Everytime I try, the screen freezes up, gets really pale in color, and I get a javascript:void ('Insert Video') at the bottom left of the screen. Tried changing skins, logging out, deleting browsing history and nothing seems to work. Help please.

Thank you bemac. That seems like a roundabout and uneccessary step, but did appear to work instead of the simple method that used to work for me. Not sure I fully understand your post TomD (I'm a little dense at times and it's getting late).

That is why I have to change some of the old skins out,

I am using the modified scarlet skin, or GIM Base it is called,

and I was able to easily insert the tube vid 2 different ways with no issues,

1) clicked on insert vid button
2)inserted the code from the browser address
3) hit enter and on gim you can see the [video] tags already applied to it

and the second way

1) clicked on insert vid button
2) clicked on share at you tube
3) copied code from the share link and pasted into vid box
4)hit enter and on gim you can see the [video] tags already applied to it

Agreed and exactly right, that is a workaround for a outdated skin,

has nothing to do with vbulletin or the update,

it is the old free skins screwing stuff up

I notice some functionality differences between the skins. This is minor but the skin I was using right after the change last week would show links in a red font but but the GIM black skin I'm using now doesn't identify a link.

the gim black is a morph of the old free gim black,

we was just a hustling to come up with something after the mobile borg took over simple black,

I need to rectify as time warrants,
