    From Yahoo Answers:

    "If it’s big enough. ;-)
Be sure if you use such measures you anchor the trap down so you don’t have to go looking for it should the squirrel run and hide after being captured or impaled. Live traps are also used and then the (tree rat) squirrel could be released far from home and you could repair the damaged area where it got in in the first place."

I use them for chipmonks, they work great if you can figure what bait they want.

Be sure to tie it to a tree or something or you will be buying lots of them.

When I get really sick of the chippys and am tired of playing with them I put a couple spoonfulls of crystal drano down a few of thier holes with some water and then seal them up with big rocks.

Nothing ever comes back out of those tunnels again after that.

Put peanut butter on the business end of that trap. They cannot resist. *THWAP*

Is there one large enough to ensnare a congressman?

If there is you would have to bait it with whiskey and a hooker.

QWAK,In the passed I made some very nice BOOBY TRAPS out of them big RAT TRAPS with some 4# test monofiliment fishing line even the old NAM vets could NOT get passed my PERIMITER with out seting them off!

With a little creativity they could be used to set off home made CLAMORS and be LEATHAL for two leged RATS!

If you buy them by the case I am shure they would be cheeper and a good PREP investment also!

QWAK, Booby TRAPS and BOOBYHATCHES ---comes from BOOBIES or "Old GRANDMAS" as some adopted Jewish extended family called them.

They sent old lady Vesely to the BOOBYHATCH (asilem) after she tried to light the gas stove but forgot she had turned on the gas about 15 min. earlier! KABOOM blew out all the windows in the kitchen and almost KILLED her! Dementia, but she was a very nice lady and SMART in her demented ways --- she HID all the $$$ she got from the GOVERNMENT and her dead hudsbands retirement set up for her.

The kids took the apt. apart looking but only found a fraction of what they knew she got!

She found little holes in walls and poked rolled up bills threw and wraped balls of knitting yarn around $100.00 bills She had experienced the DEPRESSION as a child and was TERIFIED at having to EVER be with out MONEY agen for the rest of her life!

The BEST BOOBY TRAPS are the ones no one but a CRAZY old BOOBY could think up!

Perhaps a 3/4" hole drilled in the end of the trap with a BB soldered to the crush bar , bent to meet the center of the hole and a 12ga 00 shell inserted and secured to a stable surface "tree , post .etc" then the 4# test line for a trip wire ?

Kids , don't try this at home or any other secret locations.

I use these traps to catch gophers. Place a big dab of peanut butter as bait, set and place next to an active gopher hole. Got one gopher this week. His last (attempted) meal was peanut butter.

Another trick to get gophers is peanuts on a white paper plate. If I see a gopher scrambling around on the grass when I am mowing, I place a white paper plate next to the active hole. I have some peanuts placed on the paper plate. When the gopher is eating the peanuts, I shoot the gopher with the .22 rifle. It is easy to see the gopher with the scope or open sights, since the brown gopher is on the white paper plate.
