Paying companies to hire the unemployed
    By Tami Luhby@CNNMoney May 18, 2012: 5:18 AM ET

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Would you donate $6,000 to subsidize someone else's job?

The WorkPlace, a Connecticut non-profit agency, believes the best way to get the long-term unemployed back into the workforce is by paying companies to hire them.
But instead of turning to the government for the money, the agency is trying something different: asking private companies and citizens to support subsidized jobs.

"In order to get long-term unemployed people a chance to demonstrate they can do the job as well as anybody else, you have to use unusual tools and that's one of them," said Joseph Carbone, the agency's chief executive.

I've said something to that effect in the past.

You'd have to pay me to hire that idiot.

    Magical, truly, magical.

Or, we could simply let the market (and the companies themselves) decide whom they should hire or not. Of course, this way, there is no profit for the "non-profit agency" that came up with the idea...

Once upon a time they made refrigerators in Greenville MI. Not any more. Thousands unemployed.

Then hussein created green energy and printed $$ to subsidize it. They opened solar panel factories in Greenville MI to produce this world changing technology, hundreds employed.

Then the .gov subsidy $$ ran out and since the pie in the sky BS is unsustainable the factories closed.

    Hundreds unemployed yet again.

Rinse and repeat because you dumb asses solved nothing.

The government has been giving tax breaks to companies that hire certain catagories of unemployed people for a good while now. A lot of companies give out a questioneer to applicants to determine if the applicant falls into one or more of the catagories. Believe it or not..........these are the people that are kinda being hired at certain companies no matter their qualifications. In a lot of cases the companies will keep the person around for a while (long enough to get their tax break) then get rid of him/her and do it all over again.
