The Sunday Night chat was originally started on GIM1 by others and that was a good and successful idea back then when it was done on GIM1. Since it succeeded on GIM1, then I thought that it would be a great idea to bring Sunday Night chat idea to GIM2. It seemed that it worked well tonight and I am happy with that. Yeah more people will probably show up if there is a predetermined chat day and time. And maybe put such a schedule for the weekly chat and weekly GIM Radio shows up on the page header next to the Spot Price Ticker or something. When one of the events happens have the schedule flash a red "On the Air".

Yes, we did have a live chat some years back. It is a more personnel way to interface and get to know other Members. The discussions were fruitful and positive. I am currently not in chat right now but I wanted to bump this thread to mention that I will push back Sunday Night chat to 9:00 PM U.S. Eastern Standard Time starting with this Sunday night (August 12, 2012). I used to start it at 8:00 PM but since GIM Radio is now running every Sunday night at 8:00 PM, then it was best to push back Sunday Night chat to 9:00 PM. This is just a FYI for people that are interested in chat and for people that are regular Sunday Night chat participants. See ya this Sunday night at 9:00 PM.

Hey Scorpio, it is no problem either way and I am flexible because I also want to listen to GIM Radio and it would have been hard for me to do both typing in chat and listen in to the radio show at the same time and I suspect that it would have been hard for others too. Either way I am flexible and I will keep an eye out for any updates on the GIM Radio thread to when the next show when come on. The 9:00 PM start for Sunday Night chat sounds better for me too because it is not too early in my opinion. For the time being, I am going to start it at 9:00 PM and see how that works out for me. I also wanted to say that anybody can come into chat earlier (or later) than that but 9:00 PM will be the time that I will show up in Sunday night chat. Each Sunday night, I will usually stay in chat until about 11:30 PM and then I will just call it a night and go to bed.
