Default Price of Gold in 3 Currencies Since 1971

If you REALLY want to see where gold has been/might be headed, in dollars, pounds and euros.
Second chart is the end of the first with a wider time scale.

Being color blind, those charts are impossible to read
It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. - Henry Ford

When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty. - Thomas Jefferson

    First chart:

    upper-most line is GBP
    middle is USD
and the last one that starts in the 90's is EUR

    Second chart:

USD and GBP are pretty much lock-step after late 2008, before that USD is the top line and GBP is the middle.

    Lowest line is EUR

It may or may not mean much, but I notice that the Euro has fallen in value more slowly over the timeframe... probably because they mark their gold reserves to market every quarter (I still don't trust it any more though!).
