Default Preps goone mainstream at Costco?

The wife and I were shopping at Costco today and came across this (but in a slightly smaller quantity):

    http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...atchallpartial

I've never noticed this before, especially in the warehouse itself. Now my wife is convinced something is definitely going to happen in the near future if even Costco is carrying products to get ready for disaster. The even have a 1-year survival kit for 4 online. If only they would start carrying ammo...

My local Wal-Doh!-Mart stocks all that stuff too, for sale by the 10# can or whatever the package unit may be. Haven't tried it, but it's reasonably priced.

Locally, they sell boxes of MHouse 2-serving packs for $44. Last season they were $40.

The Costco that I go to has the square bucket ones every once in awhile. They sell them out fast when they do show up. Thanks for the link!

Well, it's great that Costco is carrying stuff like this, but I hope that people who buy Mountain House and other such products come to realize that just buying preps doesn't make you a prepper. It's a mindset, not just a checklist of stuff to buy.

Sorry; didn't know this had been discussed before. This is just the first time I've ever seen these products here in the Chicago 'burbs.
